Literacy Tree as a whole is a wonderful…

Literacy Tree as a whole is a wonderful program. From the start of inquiring information Stephanie walked us right through the process with ease. I cant say enough about the classes with Ms.Renee in Roots and Ms Virginia in The Climb. These teachers truly love what they do and it shows in the way they present the information to the kids. They both keep the students engaged and interested and the positive encouragement throughout is amazing. Also the patience they have with each child is wonderful. I as a parent have learned so much listening to the classes from the sidelines. Everything that is learned is reinforced in the google classroom with the activities that are posted. If your even considering joining the classes please do it is investment in your childs success as a reader that will benefit him/her all throughout life.

You won't regret it!

My daughter started 2nd grade this year. When she completed 1st grade, she could not read. She could recite the alphabet by memory but if you jumbled the letters around she couldn't identify the letter or sound. She begin her journey with literacy tree and Ms Renee for her summer break. Second week in school and she is reading sentences in class with confidence! I can't praise this program and Ms Renee enough!! So glad we signed up!!

Worth every Penny and every minute!!

We have been struggling to get my son to read. We was below grade level and I tried everything … I was afraid this would be something else that would not work. But I am soooo happy to say my son went from like kindergarten level reading to third grade level. He is now reading and comprehending and he is gaining so much confidence! And he has also created bonds and made friends. He is actually looking forward to going to class and seeing his friends. And the teacher has him learning without even knowing it. Ms. Lisa is amazing!! We went all the way from the roots, to the climb, to the missing link and now we’re in the book club (reading comprehension) and I think it is all over after that but it was worth the price.

My kid loved the class and even asked to go to the next class. We are signing up for another 12 weeks! Highly recommend this class for any struggling child! My child enjoyed learning with Ms. Renee and was excited to go to class, which is a task in itself. He learned a lot and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow in the next class!

My son just completed Roots and joining Climb

Initially he was struggling to read and not intrested because he have gap on how to blend words/sound it. With MS.Reene's root class we could make good progress in reading diagraphs, glute sounds. Really he is making good progress and now looking for joining Climb to make more progress.

Leap of Faith

The literacy tree has changed my kids life. When it became apparent that my son Christian was not meeting school milestones and that he had fallen so far behind that his reality was repeating a grade....nothing less than devastation set in. He lost his spirit, he lost his smile, his attitude about everything was negative and he lost confidence in every aspect of his life. I was scrambling to figure out how to help him. Attempt and fail was our experience together at homework, spelling words and reading, leading to both of us ending in tears in the end. We were in the red with frustration and at an overall loss to find success with what seemed like so much effort. I saw the Ad on Facebook, and to call myself a super skeptic is nothing less than an understatement but, I called anyway. I was met with a mom who was also an educator whose journey of struggles with her own kid captured me. Her mission to leave no kid behind in learning was exactly what i was looking for and with a leap of faith we enrolled. The start was rough, getting him to engage and let down his guard to be open to learning in a safe environment was only something time could do, and it worked! He got engaged, he gained confidence with every "trick of the trade" he mastered. Before i knew it his attitude adjusted, he started to smile again, his spirit was recaptured and this spilled over into his school day. He felt unstoppable, raising his hand in class; where it wasn't as safe and having confidence to try.My broken boy had regained his spark for life and he radiated happiness and confidence. I couldn't be more thankful to the process the Literacy Tree provided. The teachers are amazing. They are so patient, super kind and very talented. My sons path has changed direction and his future is bright. He has gone from below the second standard deviation at the start of 2nd grade at the beginning of the school year (august 2021-at Kindergarden level) when he started his journey to just above the median and AT GRADE LEVEL (April 2022). If your kid is struggling don't let it continue. Call Stephanie and start on your journey to a different future.

If you're on the fence, SIGN UP!

I am so thankful for these classes! My son, 7, had ADHD and ODD and is in first grade. He started the school year at a reading level A, hated reading, and really struggled. He was making minimal progress in school, and I was at a loss for what to do. I saw an ad for the Literacy Tree on Facebook, so I figured that it couldn't hurt to do a consultation and see. We did the consultation and found he was a perfect fit for The Roots, so we immediately signed him up. While attending the classes wasn't his favorite thing to do, especially after having been in school all day, I could really see the growth in him over the 12 weeks. At the end, he was meeting all of the goals of The Roots, but was still below grade level reading, so we signed him up for The Climb. He thrived in that class, really grasping all of the lessons. I just got done talking to his Special Ed teacher, he is now reading and writing AT GRADE LEVEL! They didn't think he would be, back in March at his school conference. He sits down and reads books, and when he doesn't know a word or gets it wrong, he is either sounding them out and putting his tools in place to figure out the word or he corrects himself, when he realizes what he said doesn't make sense. It truly is mind blowing, because I just didn't think I would see the day where he would willingly pick up a book and get through it without a meltdown that he couldn't read it. So so so thankful for these classes!

Highly recommended!

We were looking for resources for a third grader that was struggling with reading. We tried other things and nothing worked when I came across this program. The teacher was amazing and the small group setting was perfect. I highly recommend for anyone that has a child that needs help with literacy!

Wonderful experience for anyone who needs help reading!

My daughter is finishing up her first course and we signed up for the next course to continue her reading journey. Her kindergarten experience was all virtual due to Covid and this 1st grade year she was reading below grade level. We are currently in the Roots class with Ms. Renee and it has been an amazing experience. I wasn't sure what to expect when we signed up, but it has been wonderful. Ms. Renee keeps the kids engaged and switches up the exercises throughout the class. My daughter is reading sentences and paragraphs now without hesitation, which she couldn't do before. I observe the classes as well and have also learned how to help my daughter based on this style. The materials in the Google Classroom reinforce every lesson. I would recommend this course to anyone struggling to read or who just needs more confidence in their reading!

My son just finished his first course…

My son just finished his first course with them and I could not be happier. His reading has improved so much! I was skeptical at first but just after the first few classes I could see a huge difference in his reading and how much more confident he is when asks to read something. You won’t regret it!

Winning at Reading

Putting the needs of kids 1st! LOVE!
It is with great pride that I recommend literacy tree as an amazing addition to anyone's education. In our family situation, my son's abilities were always just good enough for no intervention. He was just on the line, and struggled. As skill level increased, his confidence level continued to drop, and my son started to believe that he just wasn't supposed to be good at reading. He started to quit and he stopped trying. I was spoken to at the end of the year, that he was about to have intervention with the way he tested out. Covid timing in school was such a disservice to teachers and students.
Call it a mother's intuition, but I started to believe that the only reason why he tested the way he did was because of his confidence level. His level of try was nowhere near what he was capable of. I had to do something. And for some reason I was lucky enough to stumble on literacy tree from Facebook...
I made a deal with my son saying that he wouldn't have to do any summer reading books if he wanted to do this class. Of course, he Agreed with open arms! No books! He truly believed he was winning.
I have been fortunate enough to observe every single class that my son has been part of. There is not one day that I don't see some sort of brand new discovery of how he can learn to read. Everyday he receives is a brand new skill/tool, that he didn't have before. To watch him believe he is just practicing, and to see him enjoy reading again is completely phenomenal. He IS WINNING!
So many parents would believe that their kid is just supposed to not be a very good reader. That's all fine and good, but if you want to add enough tools to make him or her be most successful possible, I encourage you to look into literacy tree. They work with you, and they want to give you the gift of tools and skill to your children... Every single educator strives to help every student reach their potential! Give these educators a chance to help your student take one more step closer to that potential.
