Back to the drawing board!

I tried the chocolate caramel and the strawberry moonies and they were equally as bad as each other! Stringy , messy and very expensive, especially as they ended up in the bin. My dinner guests couldn’t bear them - never again

I bought these based on a food podcast…

I bought these based on a food podcast advertisement (Off Menu, which I otherwise love). I went for the pistachio ice cream. The product was expensive and awful. The ice cream was nice, but in a very small portion for the price, but the outer coating was almost inedible. I had to pick it off. A really terrible and expensive innovation.

I absolutely love these

I absolutely love these and can't stop buying them. Its a way of eating ice cream in little bite-sized servings with a sweet coating (made from flavoured rice dough I believe). I've tried all the different flavours and my favourites are raspberry, mango, passionfruit & mango, pistachio and coffee. I find I can eat just a few and I feel very full (due to coating?), so can indulge in something fruity and sweet without too many calories. Look out, as you may become as addicted as me!

Don't bother they taste bad…

Bought these on a whim from Lidl for £3.49. Wish I had checked trust pilot first! As nearly everyone else has said - ice cream is fine (but expensive) coating is disgusting and borderline unedible. Not a treat

Stick to the ice cream

Awful. The ‘blanket’ is inedible and i thought it was a fault but no, reading the reviews the texture is obviously meant to be. Can’t think why, binned the lot.

Vile little things

Vile little things, can’t get over the slimy texture of the outside, giving a 2* because the filling of the pistachio one was ok but the Belgium chocolate one is disgusting. Best part of £10 gone in the bin

Inconsistent experience

5* I love Mochi, especially passion fruit and mango, those are my favourites.

1* However on 2 occasions there were tasting awful, full of crunchy ice. I am not sure if that bad batch or wrong way of storing those. Both times bought from costco.

Average 3* asno consistency

I hope company sees this and make some improvements to make sure it is 5* every time.

Not a good product

I bought Refreshos pineapple and mandarin. I am so glad I tried them on special offer as they are not good value for money. The inner sorbet is ok but the outer covering is dreadful.

It’s a no from me

I opted for the pistachio little moons,
£5 for 6 - way overpriced!

The ice cream is nice, a mouthful per moon but for me, the rice dough is yuck yuck yuck, a combination that tastes wrong and seems unnecessary.

It’s a no from me - won’t be trying again.

AWFUL. I wish I could give MINUS STARS

In my humble opinion -AWFUL!
Sticky gelatinous mochi needed knife or scissors to penetrate.
I thought it was what it must be like to eat gorilla glue (blackcurrant flavour)
Will never again spend £3.75 on these when I can get a huge tub of proper sorbet from Iceland for less cost.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE!

These are NASTY

These are NASTY. that weird doughy fleshy thing the ice cream is encased in is horrible . Worst thing I've tasted in a while. I do not understand how they made a business selling these things!!!

Absolute VILE

Absolute VILE. I'm not exaggerating, these are literally the grossest thing I've ever eaten. Could barely touch them cause they literally feel like human flesh. Ice cream has no flavour and the outside is just NASTY. And for £5? I'm genuinely baffled how people can like these.

THE MOON CAN KEEP THEM!

Wow by far the most disgusting thing I have ever put to my mouth! The most weirdest, strangest, most revolting, shockingly disappointing pile of sludge I’ve tasted, it’s the consistency of a slug and just doesn’t go at all. MOCHI or not, Japan can keep these! Absolutely waste of money and excitement. Nothing like the advert at all! AVOID
