Excellent stay

I booked directly with Little Piggy Rentals and received a discount of my stay. Communication throughout was very prompt and professional. Any issues with booking were resolved swiftly. We received our check-in instructions the day before arrival and found the property in Gloucestershire to be spotless and incredibly spacious. It also had everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay there again and recommend Little Piggy Rentals.

Good place

Cozy and clean place, we found everything we needed there.
Customer service on point, host was always at the other end of the line ready to help.
The little desk in the first room and the speedy internet connection made my working from home a breeze.
Apart from some mould on the windows which the host was not aware of and they immediately solved that for us, we had no issues with the place.

As a family of 6, we loved our experience at Don’s house, very comfortable, good swimming pool, a lot of space for 6, very quiet and last but not less important, good host with quickly response and flexible check out.

I would recommend this place if you look for comfortable and quiet place. Is definitely in our wish list for upcoming holidays.

DO NOT book with Little Piggy Rentals!

I would not recommend booking directly through Little Piggy Rentals.

Before booking, we actually contacted the company via WhatsApp and were told the “best available price” for two nights at one of their properties was £1,407.60. Yet when we checked on their own website, the exact same property and dates were listed for around £600 less, which is extremely odd. Naturally, we booked through their website instead, paying £808 in full, and received confirmation.
Later that same day, the company contacted us demanding an additional £250 cleaning fee, saying it was mandatory. This fee was noted nowhere on their website at the time of booking, nor was it shown in our confirmation. Their own Terms & Conditions even state that the cleaning fee “will be included in the total booking cost and communicated at the time of booking” — which they failed to do.
Only after our booking did they edit their website and add the cleaning fee information, which is now displayed clearly. At the time we booked, it simply wasn’t there.
When we challenged this, they refused to honour the booking at the confirmed price and instead cancelled and refunded us. Strangely, the very next day, the same property reappeared on Airbnb at £829 total (including Airbnb’s fees and cleaning) — almost exactly what we had originally paid! Why then did they demand £808 + £250 from us the day before? We would have happily paid the £21 difference.
Overall, this experience felt very misleading and extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend using Airbnb or another established platform instead of booking direct with Little piggy rentals as the pricing there is transparent and inclusive of all fees.

Thank you for your reply, Don. However, I must correct several points you’ve made.
Transparency of Fees – Your own Terms & Conditions state:
“A base cleaning fee will be included in the total booking cost and communicated to you at the time of booking.”
This did not happen. The cleaning fee was not shown at checkout or on my confirmation. Only after my booking did you edit your website to show it clearly. At the time I booked, it was absent — which is the entire reason for this dispute.
Understanding of Cleaning Fees – I am not disputing the need for a professional clean. I fully expected this to be included in the total I paid, exactly as your Terms stated. Suggesting otherwise is unfair and misleading.
Refund – You frame my refund as a “goodwill gesture.” In reality, you could not enforce a retrospective charge that was not disclosed at the point of booking. Cancelling and refunding was the only option once you refused to honour the confirmed £808 price.
Delays in Communication – You said it “took some time to conclude our communications and the dates drew nearer.” In fact, it took you days to get back to me, despite knowing my booking was less than a week away and I urgently needed certainty. You even promised me a phone call to explain your mistake — I waited, but that call never came.
Pricing Oddities – Prior to booking, I was quoted £1,407.60 via WhatsApp for the same stay, then found it on your website for £808 (nearly £600 cheaper). After my booking was cancelled, the property appeared on Airbnb for £829 total including cleaning and Airbnb fees — almost exactly what I had already paid. If I had rebooked via Airbnb, you would have received even less after their fees, meaning it would have been more beneficial to honour my confirmed booking. A little embarrassing for you, frankly.
Professionalism & Guest Protections – You mention your good Airbnb reviews, but that is because guests on Airbnb are protected by their policies and benefit from transparent, all-inclusive pricing. My experience demonstrates that when booking direct, those safeguards vanish — and the process was misleading and unprofessional. That is exactly what I am warning others about.
My review is not about refusing to pay for cleaning, but about inconsistent pricing, retrospective charges, delays in communication, and a lack of professionalism. Prospective guests deserve to know this before choosing whether to book direct with you.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. After reviewing this case, I can see there was an oversight in how fees were displayed on our website at the time of your booking. That’s on us. The cleaning fee should always have been shown clearly, and I take full responsibility for the confusion this created.

There was also a discrepancy between the automated rates displayed on our website and a manual quotation you were given via chat. This overlap happened because pricing was being managed across more than one system and person at the time. I recognise this setup created unnecessary inconsistency, and it’s one of the areas I am improving by centralising control. We are restructuring how pricing is handled and bringing in additional support so this kind of situation cannot repeat itself. Importantly, the property should never have been listed without the cleaning fee, as that made the booking unviable and unfair to the property owners we represent.

I also recognise that my communication in this case was slower than it should have been, and I did not follow through on a promised call. That’s on me. I am actively developing custom software to help streamline guest communication and flag urgent cases, alongside expanding my team with a new assistant dedicated to pricing and marketing, freeing up Amos, our existing guest support lead, to focus on this necessary work.

We issued a full refund once it became clear the booking could not proceed, as we felt this was the fairest resolution under the circumstances.

I understand why some guests prefer booking via Airbnb for the added protections, and I respect that. For those who book direct with us, the advantages are cheaper rates, more personalised service, extra time in our properties, and direct support from our team. We have been in business for years, have hosted thousands of guests - many through direct bookings - and this is the first time we have received a negative review about that process.

While this was clearly not the experience either of us wanted, it has highlighted areas where we can improve. We’ve taken it on board as a learning opportunity, and used it to strengthen our systems. I also want to reassure readers that this was unusual; the vast majority of our guests leave very positive feedback, reflected in our Superhost status and nearly 300 five-star reviews on Airbnb.

Little Piggy Rentals - They Care

Put Simply, Little Piggy Rentals know their stuff and care about the customer experience.
I’ve seen a lot of properties as a guest/landlord/tenant but the ones managed by Little Piggy Rentals are head and shoulders above the rest.
All their properties are furnished and equipped to a consistently high standard; they rightly pride themselves on attention to detail to ensure that everything just works. There is a team that knows what it is talking about and is available when you need them to provide thoughtful, considerate, customer service; in a nutshell, they care!
Always a pleasure working with them!

As a professional in the property…

As a professional in the property services industry, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Little Piggy Rentals Ltd and its owner, Don Jeevy, to caution other traders and potential subcontractors.

Cons:
- Severe lack of punctuality and respect for scheduled appointments
- Poor communication and follow-through
- Disregard for other professionals' time and resources
- Potential for unfair negative reviews
- Questionable practices in verifying subcontractor work
- Unrealistic expectations for subcontractors
- Risk of adverse reviews or loss of work for subcontractors, even for issues beyond their control

Don Jeevy initially contacted me to arrange a meeting with his representative, Lyn, at a specific property. Upon arrival at the agreed time, no one was present. I called Lyn at 12:39, who said she'd return in 10 minutes. After waiting about 15 minutes, we left due to the unprofessional situation and costs incurred. Nearly an hour later (13:27), Lyn called again.

This unprofessional behaviour resulted in:
- Wasted wages for my staff
- Unnecessary fuel costs
- Lost potential earnings

We have documented evidence of our presence, including photographs, Google Maps timestamps, and GPS coordinates.

Little Piggy Rentals Ltd uses Uplisting for remote property management, expecting subcontractors to provide comprehensive services (laundry, ironing, bedding changes, cleaning). They rely heavily on photos taken by cleaners as proof of work. While this can protect cleaners by providing evidence of completed tasks, it also presents issues:

1. Inconsistent photo checking by staff
2. Added time pressure on cleaners
3. Potential for false accusations if photos are missed

Alarmingly, subcontractors risk negative reviews or losing work even for unintentional mistakes or issues beyond their control. This creates an unfair and pressurized working environment.

The company's readiness to leave negative reviews for traders, without considering their own reliability issues, is particularly concerning and unprofessional.

I strongly advise other traders and potential subcontractors to be extremely cautious when dealing with Little Piggy Rentals Ltd. Always document all communications, confirm appointments in writing, and be prepared for potential no-shows or last-minute changes. If you work with them, ensure you have robust time-tracking and photo-taking systems to protect yourself from potential disputes.

It may be wise to consider alternative partners who value punctuality, professional conduct, and fair treatment of their subcontractors and business associates.

Be aware that the guys at Little Piggy Rentals have no concern for end user. Their aim is to maximise profit for the property owners, excellent if you own a property (in the short term) but terrible for the customer. Proceed with caution.

While we take responsibility for this, the unintended pricing, and lack of a cleaning fee and availability rules meant the booking, a single-night stay, many months in the future, was an extreme financial liability and way below the fair market rate. We reached out immediately to explain and request your understanding and cooperation. Our goal is always a win-win for both guests and property owners, and we appreciate the understanding that most guests extend when issues arise. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.
