I went to see Simon at Spire Liverpool with my niece who has Downs Syndrome due to an issue with swelling in her legs that I suspected was a Vascular issue but when Simon examined her he suspected more of an Cardio issue rather than a Vascular.

Simon was very caring, friendly and professional in every manner, he sat and listened thoroughly to all my concerns about my niece before examination then professionally explained everything to me on his suspicions.
Simon then went above and beyond to get my niece promptly referred to an appropriate team for her needs that I am very much grateful for.

The staff within the Company put me at ease on my very first visit, and my Consultant Simon explained every step in great detail.

Thorough professional service, from start to finish. However, one area for improvement that had the potential to raise anxiety levels during the procedures.
The support worker, (SW), (apologies for not recognising his role or name), questioned Mr Neequaye in front of me and another colleague to the suitability of the procedures, during pre procedure questions, given I had a DVT recorded on 15 August 2025.
This should of been queried in private and whilst it may have been highlighted with my best interests in mind, there was a potential for conflict or disagreement which I should not of been privy to. Other patients may have panicked and or refused to go ahead with the procedure given the impression and or opinion communicated by the SW in their presence. The additional risk of the procedure given my recent DVT was not highlighted explicitly to during my pre-assessment call or on the day of the procedures.

I arrived 5 minutes early and was shown to the waiting room with access to hot and cold drinks and was seen immediately.
Kate made me feel relaxed and talked me through my procedure.
Kate explained everything so I could understand.
As a patient it is really comforting to be treated by someone who clearly cares about their job.

The Consultant dealing with me has been outstanding. He took my issues seriously, clearly explained things and did not mind getting involved in issues which would normally fall out side his remit. After having some post operative issues I felt reassured that my welfare was paramount.

I recently under went a varicose vein procedure under L/A as a afternoon day case.
I was treated with care and dignity by Mr Neequaye and the hospital staff . He explained clearly what was going to happen as it was happening .
I had a short spell in the recovery before going home with thorough instructions for post op.

Simon, my wife’s consultant was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble.
I sent Simon an email at the weekend on the Monday. He made contact with me on the Tuesday. Spire gave us an appointment and my wife was in on the Wednesday to see Simon that same day she had scan later on and the whole experience from start to finish was truly first class and I’m glad to say when my wife went back to see Simon for the results all was well

From arrival through to seeing the radiographer then the Consultant Simon Neequaye, the whole consultation process was first class. Mr Neequaye was as ever very thorough and took time to explain the detail and the best way forward. Can’t fault anything.

Dr Neequaye was very professional and listened very carefully to my concerns. He was very thorough and informative in explaining my condition and the further investigations he intends to undertake. I found him very reassuring, sincere and caring in his approach and I am very happy to be in his care.
