Serious reaction

Used Cleanse and Polish - horrendous reaction causing redness, intense itching and raised bumps under the skin. Shocking …….. I have used Liz Earle for years but the new product ingredients are awful - causing reactions and smelling awful. I have had to throw away over £200 worth of products. Will never purchase again. Liz Earle has had its day.

After over 20 yrs using Liz Earle - finished

Have used Liz Earle skin care for over 20 years. The last few years my skin has really struggled with the products/dehydrated/dryness and lines.
I was unaware of who had taken over LE and the reduced quality of ingredients.
My skin is definitely showing this now.
Totally disgusted with the whole process and to think I bought some for a friend for Christmas is devastating!
Liz Earle is finished!

Conditioner disaster

I bought Liz Earle conditioner for the first time on Boots £10 Tuesday offer, I was so disappointed the smell was awful, clinical and smelt like pine toilet cleaner, I had to wash my hair the next day as it was so dull and lifeless looking. Will never buy again

I used to love Liz Earle Superskin…

I used to love Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate. The smell was heavenly. For whatever reason I stopped using it. I decided to give myself an Xmas present as this was in the sale. The first time I used it I thought it smelled 'off'. I went to a reputable store and smelled it. It had the same stagnant 'off' smell. Why? what has happened to the recipe. I certainly will never buy this again.

Beware Liz Earle "free offers" that don't arrive

Received an offer from LZ stating that if I spent £69 I would receive a free gift worth £121 so spent £69 only to receive an email the next day saying OOPS sorry something went wrong so no free gift coming, but spend another £69 and we will send you the free gift. Terrible way to treat customers. I wasn't born yesterday and really should not have fallen for that but I did, however LZ have now lost this customer as I will never be buying from them again. The value of the free gift is nowhere near how much I would have spent with them over the years, so their loss is so much greater than mine.

Liz Earle shampoo, conditioner and oil

I used to swear by Liz Earle shampoo, conditioner, and especially the hair oil. The old formulas were incredible tiny amounts gave amazing results, and everything smelled beautiful. After L’Oréal took over, the products are nothing like they used to be.

The formulas feel cheap, the performance has dropped massively, and now I have to use huge amounts just to get half the results I got before. The hair oil is the biggest disappointment. I used to need just two pumps for my short hair, and it left my hair soft, smooth, and smelling divine. Now I need at least four pumps, and it still does nothing no softness, no scent, just an ordinary, overpriced oil.

These “new and improved” formulas are a joke. The products are not worth the money, not worth trying, and absolutely not the same brand they once were. Honestly, it feels like a scam

Cutting corners.

Ordered cleanse and polish and day and night cream from QVC as it was a good offer, I used to use it regularly years ago. I was so disappointed with the products, as usually happens when a company is taken over the products are not like Liz Earle original products, the smell was something I remember which was lovely, but these smell off! Cutting corners to save money doesn’t work. Won’t be buying it again.

Res bumps

I've used Liz Earle for years and got good results, but I tried the new super skin range and got red bumps on my face tiny imperfections. Continuing, the use of the products, my skin was dry and sore. Had to stop using the range and try other brands for relief.

Dirty shelves&products, Heathrow Terminal5

1. Fire the lazy woman responsible for the LE shelves at Heathrow Terminal 5 - most of the products were very dusty and practically dirty & nobody's bothered to help the customers - she was just sitting there, browsing on her mobile phone, doing nothing!

2. After the buy out by Walgreens the quality & natural ingredients in them have gone steep downhill, I stopped buying. The lack of proper customer care as described above, definitely helped too.

Liz Earle have sold themselves out.

Liz Earle have sold themselves out.

They reformulated the new best selling shampoo and it’s been a disaster, same negative comments from loyal customers. One of the new ingredients to the shampoo is sodium hydroxide, which is bad for your hair and causes breakages (Google it).

I’ve compared the ingredients list old and new (lucky enough to still have a tube of the old) - LE claim that they had to reformulate as some ingredients in the old were no longer available but have not specified which - I undertook a review of similar cosmetic brands and found that they still were available. I don’t believe this, I think they wanted to cut costs and have put out a vastly inferior product. It’s a shame as so many reviewers including myself found it was the best shampoo they’ve ever used.

LE definitely not the mid price luxury treat and quality brand it used to be. Very sad.

Duped

I ordered over £130 of products from their winter sale between Christmas and New Year. Upon receipt, I noted that the instructions for the x2 body polish items I had bought required a mitt. I emailed customer care to be told the mitt would be in the respective boxes. I replied to say neither tube came with a box. Their latest reply....sorry, the product was sold through our outlet and therefore no mitt included but here is a link so you can buy your own!! At £8 each!! Completely mis sold these items. The website should have made clear they were outlet items, not in boxes and without the required mitts. And the replies between emails take ages, days. Expected better from a premium brand. Won't be a returning customer, which is a shame, as some of the products are lovely.

Poor customer experience

Ordered a £90 gift box for Christmas on 16th Se, the order did not arrive. I contacted them with proof of purchase but was told I needed more evidence. Emailed to say my order got lost in system. And arrived on the 7th January.
Poor customer service and did not meet expectations of a customer experience.
