A hotel which really looks after you

I spent a night here on business and, although the quirky, unique rooms I and my two codirectors each had couldn't be described as luxurious, the service was absolutely exceptional.
I needed some things printed, they did it for me without question, no charge.
We wanted some beers - they brought us a selection of some of the nicest ones we've ever had for sub-supermarket prices (6 beers, 11 euros)
We then tentatively decided to eat in the hotel's uber posh brasserie, which specialised in fresh seafood and steak - not only did we have some of the best oysters, king prawns and steak any of us have ever eaten (and we're from a part of Scotland where we can get great examples of all of these things readily) but the bill was again incredibly low and again the service was exceptional.
We were also afforded a 12pm checkout time the next day as standard, which was most welcome.
Add to this that we were able to walk along the Riverside into the centre of Amsterdam (and a 5 minute tram ride got us back again) and I think you'll see why we were so happy with the hotel overall.
No hotels in Amsterdam are cheap, but the absence of expensive "extras" at this one meant our stay overall ended up being considerably better value than I think we would have got anywhere else.
Massive kudos to the staff and the general approach of this hotel of truly looking after its residents.

A wonderfully quirky place to stay

A wonderfully quirky place to stay. I have used the hotel many times and every time the stay is pleasurable, the rooms individual, the staff friendly and knowledgable.

The only hotel I know that caters from 1* to 5* in the same building.

The smoked salmon for breakfast is to die for
