Very disappointing and misleading experience with LME Cars

I purchased a used Porsche Taycan 4S from LME Cars in May 2025, based on their online listing which advertised the car as “full option” and explicitly listed features such as a 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, and a sport pack. None of these were present on the delivered vehicle.

In addition, a warning light for the front right headlight appeared just a few km after pickup. Porsche later confirmed that the entire LED unit had to be replaced — a €2,000+ repair — and that such a defect would have been visible to any professional before the sale.

Despite multiple messages (and calls), LME Cars never showed any surprise, offered no resolution, and refused all responsibility. They eventually proposed to buy the car back for €8,500 less than what I paid — just a few weeks after the purchase — without acknowledging any fault or discrepancy.

Worse, their communication turned openly hostile, culminating in: “You will lose this fight”.

This has been one of the most disappointing and stressful car buying experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve submitted a formal complaint through the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) and the Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM).

Buyers beware — make sure you inspect the car in person and get everything in writing, because in case of any issue, you’ll likely be on your own.

Everything was wrong with the car

Everything was wrong with the car we bought, to fix the car it literally cost us almost as much as the car itself. We asked when we bought it from them to fix some minor things we noticed, they didn't even bother checking. It just kept going on and on with the issues. Everything had an issue, not even a joke.

Review of LME CARS

Dear Lmecars
IM MONTI ROBERTO ,After three months of fabricated stories from LME CARS, I finally went to pick up the car in Germany as agreed. Even on this occasion, they made me wait 4 hours for the pickup because, as usual, they did not know what type of documents I would need. They even falsified a CMR, but fortunately, it was accepted.

After the pickup, I discovered that the car had a broken headlight which was not damaged in the video they sent me. Additionally, the car would not move forward due to a pressure loss and the gearbox did not work. The mechanic estimated the damage at 2000 euros. They told me they had lost the documents, but the original documents were in the car. The car is without a particulate filter, so they committed fraud against me and the environment. I have already filed a complaint with the competent Dutch authorities and it will be a criminal case.

The car is at the mechanic and I requested a refund of 2000 euros within 2 days, otherwise, I will proceed with negative publicity on social media and contact the Consumer Office in the Netherlands, as well as all the platforms they use to sell cars. They declared the car to be NAP certified, which is impossible with the problems found.

I have all the emails to prove the fraud. Additionally, they send emails under the name Mike Snolopper and sign as Nicolle de Jong. I will not stop in front of dishonest people like them

Dear Monti,

We have seen your review and the claim in which you are demanding €2,000. It appears that you are dissatisfied with the purchase of your vehicle, and we take such matters seriously.

To resolve this situation, we are willing to refund you the €2,000, under the condition that you immediately remove all online statements, including your review and any other related content. Once everything has been deleted, we will proceed with the payment.

However, if you choose not to comply, we will have no choice but to escalate this matter legally. Your statements contain false and damaging accusations, which fall under defamation and libel. Should this continue, we will involve our lawyer and take the necessary legal actions against you.

Since you yourself have set the amount at €2,000, this is now the fixed sum that will resolve the matter. There will be no further negotiations. We await your confirmation so that we can proceed accordingly.

Best regards,

Not serious at all, liars

I bought a car here 1 month ago.
The car had damages that were not described on the ad.
Tires were completely worn out, seat belt was in very bad shape (which is unusual for a 2019 car), impact on the windshield, scratches on the bodywork and the rims.
When I pointed that out they started to be very rude at me and clearly said "I have another guy on that car, it's leave or take, I will not give you a discount or do anything to the car)
There was no car history at all.
The car (a tesla) was advertised with the FSD, it didn't have that (but I realized that too late, they advertise almost all teslas they have with FSD, I'm sure none of these have, looking at the pictures)
I asked about the battery degradation, they said they had it tested, and the degradation was 8%, I asked about a report as a proof (because the car was high mileage and the degradation was very low, that was suspicious) they said they don't have a report.

Customer relation was bad, they are aggressive when you ask questions (we're talking 30k€, not €500 so yes I ask questions for that kind of money)
If the car was immaculate, maybe I would ask fewer questions, but that was not the case

In the end, I needed a car quickly and took a little bit of a gamble and bought the car.

They got me to sign a Dutch paper, I refused to sign something that I don't understand, so they translated it in English, the paper said that their company is not responsible for anything, no guarantee.... nothing !
But they have to give you a €4000 discount for that
Of course, they refused to give me that discount....
Again, sign or leave....
And the story continues.....

I asked them when the APK was passed, they said "a week ago"
Since I was exporting the car to France, I needed a recent APK (no more than 6 months old, I was clear on that point)
I asked them the report, they didn't have it.... they said "that will not be a problem, trust me I sell multiple cars to France every week")
In the end, after double-checking on the car history on internet, the APK was 1 year old (they do not know what they are selling)
I had to ask them to get the car checked to have a fresh APK, It took 5 messages with no answer at all (on business days) to get an answer and get the car check the day before the pickup...
The APK was passed with the worn out tires, that was not a problem because the APK was done at their friends across the street, don't rely on that to know the car condition... And they keep saying "don't worry, Dutch APK is very strict" there's no way that completely worn out tire would pass an APK in France.... anyway...

They don't answer quickly on messages, but we finally agreed on the pickup day and I came there to take the car.
There were very deep scratches that were not present on the first time I saw the car, but they don't care at all,

Got the car declared exported with no problems, got the papers and left with the car

But the story continues.

I discovered that the car don't have the FSD (which costs €7500)
When I checked the car and test drove it, there was some noise in the front end, I was thinking that was the worn out tires
After changing tires, the noise is still there, in the end the half shafts are completely worn out (€1900 quote)
Again, "Dutch APK is very strict" ...

I asked Tesla about the car service history, they gave me the full history of the car and good news for me, all batteries were replaced 6 months before
So, 6 months old battery, 8% of degradation ? No way...

And finally, the cherry on top, I started the administrative procedure to get the car licensed in France, they answered me that "after checking Dutch car database, your car's papers are not up-to-date, you have to ask your seller for the updated papers (Deel I)"

So I called them, sent them messages, I NEVER got answers, I was left on "Seen" that's all.
Once they have your money, you don't exist.

So in the end, I DO NOT recommend them.
They don't know what they are selling (no service history, no APK history, advertised FSD package, which the car don't have)

They are clearly lying to you, in face of you with no shame (the 1-year-old APK, "I sell car every week to France" but they don't know that a need a 6 months old APK, the 8% battery degradation with no reports, the "very strict Dutch APK" across the street)

In the end my car is not that bad and I got very lucky, but I still needed to change the tires (€500) and the half shafts (€1900) for a 30k€ car that's not acceptable
They're very rude before the purchase and don't ask them anything after the purchase because they will not answer, you're alone once you paid.

You have been warned
