I couldn’t gain access to my bedroom

I couldn’t gain access to my bedroom. I was on my own in the house dealing with a cross man who originally quoted £40. Due to it being “a high security lock” the price went up to £350. I couldn’t pay that and he conveniently dropped it down to £120. It was like he’d never seen a lock before.

Honestly disgusting to take advantage of people in vulnerable situations. They know what they’re doing. It’s gross and slimy. Avoid.

Absolute cowboy...stay away

Absolute cowboy...
Extremely poor service. I contacted several locksmiths through Google, and this company was the only one that said they could come out immediately. The technician inspected the lock and actually rendered it unusable, then said it needed to be replaced. We were charged £414, which felt excessive—especially as we were never told the cost before any work started. I was on a work call at the time, so my husband dealt with the technician. After payment, he was told that a receipt or invoice would be emailed to us.

Instead of a receipt, we only received an email with some basic information about the lock that was used. We waited several days for the proper invoice, but it never arrived, and eventually we gave up chasing it.

Less than two months later, the lock has failed again. We were told at the time of installation that there was a six-month guarantee. Since yesterday, I have been calling the company repeatedly. The call centre kept taking my details and said a technician would be sent, but nothing has happened. When I called back later, my calls went to voicemail. On three occasions when someone did answer, I was told they were trying to reach the technician, but still no one has come out.

At this point, I genuinely feel we have been scammed. We paid by credit card and were clearly told the work had a six-month guarantee.

Unethical immoral company

Absolute Cowboys
On October 12, my mother who is 88 years old was nearly out of hospital . When I was unable to raise her via telephone, I rushed over to her house. Unfortunately, despite asking her for months, she had not given me a copy of one of her door keys. We were told an ambulance could help us get in, but they were going to be two hours. In panic, we looked at Google to find a local Locksmith. This company showed us being in the Lewes area pinpointed on the map around 5 miles away. I called them and explained to the urgency of the situation and was promised somebody would be with me in half an hour. It took 50 minutes for him to turn up and he arrived just after the ambulance. Once we got into the building, we found my mother on the floor in a very serious condition. The operative then asked he should secure the door and put in a new look. He quoted a total price of £400, I thought fair enough it’s a Sunday. Once he could completed the work, my Uncle and I split the bill and paid him via a debit card. He took £293 from each of us. I was promised an invoice would come in the post. over two weeks later and asking on three occasions for an invoice to be emailed over I’ve had nothing. Has it not been literally a life and death situation, we would have been looking at Trustpilot before choosing Locksmith. I feel compelled to write this review, because this company are nothing but lowlife.
Happily, my mother is now home and recovering .

Cowboys- firstly told on the phone £59…

Cowboys- firstly told on the phone £59 for unlocking the stuck pvc door which went up to £99 plus VAT when I refused to pay the £380 plus VAT I was quoted to replace the mechanism and the barrel he broke to gain access. Another locksmith came out and said there was nothing wrong with the mechanism and just changed the barrel which cost £12.99 to buy. Absolute joke! Avoid these people

Untrusted at all

The customer service is absolutely zero. The pricing is unfair, and the whole experience was misleading from start to finish. I would not recommend this company to anyone at all.
On the website, the price was listed as £40. However, when the technician arrived, he informed me that it would actually cost £60 + VAT.
Seeing that we were desperate to get the door open, he claimed it would take 1 to 2 hours due to the mechanism and complexity and said the cost would be around £140 or less depending on the time. Surprisingly, he opened the door in just 5 minutes and charged me £168. He then asked for an extra £120 for a temporary lock and stated that a permanent repair could cost around £450. OMG.
he unnecessarily broke a piece of the lock ad when I asked for the broken part, he said he had thrown it in the bin and couldn’t retrieve it.
I have tried contacting the company multiple times to speak with someone about the charges or to escalate the issue to a manager. Every time, I was told the manager was busy and would call me back shortly. No one has contacted me to this day.
