I had the great fortune of meeting Nonna and some of the family during a cooking class. It was a fantastic experience. Not only did we cook some delicious food from scratch, but we were able to socialize and talk about Italian culture and food. I highly recommend Local Aromas.

We had such a beautiful experience
Cooking with Momma Giuliana . It was set in a beautiful, warm and cozy home and this made such a magnificent start to our trip . We we were shown how to make each dish hands on . We were treated to different Italian treats and given explanations in detail of the origins and dishes and ingredients. Everything was so delicious. We truly felt like family and loved every moment they shared with us . It was the food , the love and the glimpse into a beautiful dinner with a beautiful family !!

Our wine and food evening tour was the highlight of our Rome stay! The locations we visited and food and wine we sampled were delicious. I can't say enough thank yous to our guide Eric Senn. Highly, highly recommend this company and the experience.

Cecilia was an amazing guide for us in Venice. She took us to 3 wonderful non-touristy places for cicchetti and wine. Fantastic on both accounts.
And lots of info about the area that you can’t get without a local!

Cooking with Mamma Giuliana was such a magical experience for my husband and I. This was my first time to Italy and my husband’s first time to Rome. Since I was a little girl, I’ve said it a million times over “I will be in Italy one day,” well let me share our experience. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were visiting family in Rome welcomed with open arms and instantly at home. Mamma Giuliana, and her family are absolutely beautiful and so welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special.
Learning Roman cuisine and cooking it was absolutely spectacular, delicious, authentic, and an unforgettable memory we will always cherish. We are already looking forward to our next trip, when we’ll bring our three adult children so they too can share in this incredible experience. Cooking with Mamma Giuliana is a beautiful, heartwarming memory that stays with you. Truly amazing, and I can’t wait to return! We took the pizza and gelato tour. Jamila was amazing and a wealth of knowledge. We had such an amazing time with her and she took us to local spots and the food was top notch. I highly recommend this tour!!

Art and Aperitivo with Local Aromas was like being invited by locals to hang out, enjoy drinks and food, and laugh. I was suddenly the guest of an insider, sipping my spritz, laughing and learning about Italy.

I met with Valeria and the other guests at a great restaurant (and now I have another place to revisit on my next trip) where they served my spritz along with a platter of tasty antipasti to share. I chose a cute Fiat to decorate with Posca art markers (pro quality) and just had fun. In the end, I had a cute souvenir that now sits on my desk to remind me of my trip and ideas for new flavours (Thank you for getting me to try new things!). It's a unique memory that was more personal than any other tour.

This was the most exceptionally run tour of my trip; It felt genuine, not scripted or canned, and everything was fantastic quality from the food to the art markers. Local Aromas sets a high standard. I can't wait for my next trip to enjoy more!

This was the second food tour we did with Local Aromas. 2 years ago we did a custom dessert-tour and last week we did the street food tour with Jamila.

Highly recommend it! Communication was super clear during the booking process, even though we booked kinda last minute.

Jamila was very kind and super knowledgeable. The food we tried was amazing! A core memory to never forget!

We had the honor of experiencing four incredible adventures with the Local Aromas family, which elevated our entire Rome vacation. We began with the Four Pasta Tasting, led by Valeria, and it felt like we were with family. We learned about pasta, enjoyed it, and shared laughs about various topics. Then, on another day, we took the Roman street food tour with Benny, which was another incredible experience, walking through neighborhoods away from tourist areas and seeing beautiful architecture as we savored delicious food. Benny and Valeria have a passion for sharing their culture with others, which creates an extraordinary experience. A couple of days later, we participated in a Pasta Cooking class with Carla, who again blew us away with her humor and warm welcome into her home. The pasta turned out amazing, and not a drop was left on our plates. A couple of days later, we attended a cheese and wine tasting, which gave us a newfound appreciation for the art and chemistry of cheese and wine. Thank you to the entire Local Aromas family! We will be back, and we will book more! For anyone reading this review, I highly recommend booking one or more of their tours, as it will enhance your Roman vacation.

We did a 'cooking class party' at Local Aromas and it was fantastic. We started with a little drink, snack and chat and afterwards we went for different preparations: one for the dolce, two for the pasta. We learned a lot from ánd laughed a lot with Carla and the rest. Ofcourse the last step of the evening was eating the food and it was buonissima! The wine was also very good. We had such a fun time, we would definitely book another workshop at Local Aromas. Grazie mille a tutte da Giuseppe e Maria (Lars and Fenne ;-))!

Jamila is an amazing guide and educator! We did the Roman Street Food tour. Fun and knowledgeable! Wish I would have booked another tour with Local Aromas!

It was great experience. We did three sites with Local Aromas and each guide was excellent source. We appreciate each one of them the effort to speak English. All were very knowledgeable and kind. If you have an opportunity to book at least one, it will help you to understand the region. Thanks you very much for assisting us and making our trip memorable.

I was able to join the Roman Street Food Tour with Benedetta, and I had the best time. She was incredibly knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be around. I had the opportunity to have a one-on-one food tasting where she was able to provide a detailed history of the areas and food. I can't wait to do this again next year for sure.

My husband and I did the Cicchetti tour in Venice with Cecilia and the 4 Roman Pasta cooking class with Cristina. These were the highlights of our trip.

Cecilia was so kind. We had a great time talking with her as well as trying authentic cicchetti paired with excellent wine. This would be a top recommendation for anyone visiting Venice.

Cristina was awesome, and we have said that the pasta we made was some of the best food we ate on our trip. We enjoyed this class and are planning on trying to recreate the dishes at home! I would highly recommended Local Aroma tours and cooking classes. Such a great way to experience Italy!

My farmer's market tour with Benny and cooking class with Cristina were absolutely incredible! Benny and Cristina were both so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend Local Aromas to anyone travelling to Italy and would not hesitate to sign up for another experience with them should we be lucky enough to return.

My husband and I took the Farmer's Market tour. We had an amazing time meeting vendors and tasting amazing local foods. Benny is super knowledgeable about all the processes that go into making the different local flavors, it was an amazing learning experience. Everyone was so friendly,
cheeses amd meats better than we ever had. Came bags with 3 bags full of local items, most already vacuum sealed, and did not spend much at all.
My husband even got tips about his protein intact from a biologist at the legume stand.
I highly recommend this tour with this lady!!

We had a wonderful experience with Jamila. She was knowledgeable and friendly and took her time explaining the different pastas and customs. It was delicious by the way! We never felt rushed and just had a great time. I would recommend Local Aromas to everyone. I will be back and look forward to booking another food tour with Local Aromas!

I’m so thankful to God for putting Local Aromas in my path! I took a mother and daughter trip to Rome and did the Local Aromas private cooking class at the chef’s home and it was everything and more than I imagined! The home was beautiful with olive trees, and the chef was so kind and knowledgeable! An unforgettable experience!

My husband and I took a cooking class and learned to make the 4 Roman pastas, as well as Tiramisu. Chef Carla was wonderful, and immediately made us feel welcome in her home. She gave us an overview of everything we would be doing, and explained it all step by step and we prepared our amazing meal. The only complaint might be that we were stuffed by the end! And that's not actually a complaint at all. Oh my gosh, the four Roman pastas are simple, yet delicious. The tiramisu was so much easier to make that I could have imagined, and yet it was just heavenly. Chef Carla was absolutely delightful. She was knowledgeable about her craft, as I would expect. She was approachable and friendly. We loved chatting with her, she has a great sense of humor. The class was worth every penny and I would 100% recommend the class. If we ever get back to Italy, we will definitely be taking more cooking classes with Local Aromas.
