A nice website but feel that it could be more user friendly..

I really like the idea of localvets.com and enjoy listening to the calls when appointments are being made. I would be happier if I received some sort of notification whenever an appointment had been made through the website without having to go and look for them. Maybe an email notification? Right now it is challenging to remember to check on these and I am only reminded about them when I receive notification that money has been debited from the account !

Many new clients have come through Local Vets.

I am pleased that I have been called by several clients through Local Vets. I wish the cost was less than $50 per client though. It is worth it due to the ability to listen to the recorded phone messages. It helps in the training of staff members answering the phone.

Great service so far

We used LocalVets.com a few years ago and recently started using their services again. They offer a great product for little investment and their customer service has been outstanding. I have read other reviews that have said the one time, per client cost is high but I disagree. The idea is to gain a new client and keep them long term, not perform a single exam and let them go. Will that work every time? Probably not, but it will easily be made up in those that do become long term clients. I would definitely recommend them.

Great service!

We have only been using Veterinarians.com for a short time but the service has been wonderful. The customer support is friendly and goes the extra length to make sure you as a client are well taken care of. Their program is user friendly and easy to access. We have been referred more new clients through Veterinarians.com than I ever expected!

Helpful

We started local vets to help see where calls get generated from and where we are pulling business from. Since working with local vet/ veterinarians.com we have enjoyed listening to our conversations and seeing where we can make improvements and how this type of service can help the clinic. They are working on a better software to help make sure we don't get billed for new clients that are previous clients and not getting credit for those calls and I have to put in multiply requests or call instead.

Good Source for Referrals/Sketchy on Collecting Data

Our practice has been with this service for years. Although the current organization has vastly improved on its services, there are some areas that could use improvement. First, when I listen to calls I would like to be able to hear both sides of the conversation, not just the caller's. Second, I should not have to listen to the call to get basic info like caller's name, pet's name, reason for appointment. Although those are usually included in the call, they are frequently missing from the written info on the upper left when calls are reviewed. Third, the transcript of the calls is always lacking. Perhaps using court stenographers would solve that problem. Fourth, someone calling for information or for a referral to another pet service is NOT an appointment. And Fifth, when a caller is identified as an Existing Client, you should not need to have their history faxed to you; this is a borderline violation of client-doctor confidentiality. Designate some other acceptable form of proof you will accept.
