It looks like this is a scam website…

It looks like this is a scam website and company. I searched google for local locksmiths and this was an advertised website which seemed to fit my needs. The website looked good and claimed to have a google review of 4.9/5 from over 2000 reviews. I phoned them up and they said someone will call round within the hour. Over 2 hours later the locksmith came round, he was Eastern European. The website claimed to have no call out fee but when the locksmith gave me a quote (which seemed very expensive from what I've been told) he charged me £50 for the quote. I said the website claimed no call out fees but he said the fee was for the quote. I phoned the original number again to complain about the no call out fee advertised on the website and another Eastern European answered and said the same thing as the locksmith. I reluctantly paid the money and asked for a written quote. He told me he would text me the quote but then just got in his car and drove off.

I tried to write a google review but it seems this part of the website is completely fabricated as I couldn't find how to even write a review for it until I searched the website on Trust Pilot and discovered they only had two 1 star ratings.

I have reported the website. Luckily I only lost £50 to them.

Garage Door Lock - Paid for but never fitted

I called this company to have my garage lock changed. A technician arrived the same afternoon and removed the lock, suggested a replacement would need to be ordered, and that he would return tomorrow to fit it.

I paid for the cost of the new lock and fitting in full, however he did not return. I called customer services numerous times, and was told the technician would call be immediately. This happened 20+ times. When I requested to escalate the matter, the customer service agents were rude, and repeatedly put the phone down on me.

At best, this company is highly disorganised and rude. At worst, they are a scam.

I called this company in Liverpool…

I called this company in Liverpool claiming I’d lost my keys and needed a change of lock for my PCV door. They quoted £49 plus £29 for a new lock and VAT. Two Eastern European men arrived and said the lock would cost £150 plus VAT. I insisted this wasn’t what was agreed upon and called the call centre. The agent told me I’d mentioned losing my keys not changing the lock. I demanded a key and she argued with me. The two men then said I needed to pay a cancellation fee, which wasn’t mentioned on their website. The call centre cancelled my call multiple times and the men suggested I call the police. I made a report and they drove off. This is a scam. I should have known when I couldn’t find this company on Trustpilot. Be aware; they were dodgy people.
