I have been having Cello lessons at the school since June 2023 and very happy with my experience and learning journey, everyone is really friendly and helpful, I have had two teachers during my time there, starting with Joanna who is an excellent Cellist and all round musician very friendly and a fun teacher to have had, in fact so good that she left to join the London Symphony Orchestra, which speaks to the calibre of the teachers at this school, Reuben who is my current teacher is just as excellent, really knows music inside out from the practical side to music theory intricacies also an incredible piano player as well as Cello and other instruments, very easy to get on with and lessons are always fun, while still being focused on helping me progress as a Cellist, the facilities at the school are also excellent with a number of music rooms, most also have a piano in them which is also great, it is possible to hire a Cello through the school, which is reasonably priced and a great way to get started with out paying out for my own Cello.
The school is managed remotely which came as a surprise at first, but it actually works perfectly well, my primary one to one contact is with my teacher who I have nothing but praise for, but also have lots of praise for all of management who help organise my time at the school from lessons to practice room time, when ever I have had a request or needed help to resolve something they have been very accommodating, understanding and helpful to assist me.
Highly rated school and tuition, totally recommend having lessons here and very happy that I am able to be a student at the school.
Thank you to everyone in making my learning path such an enjoyable journey.

Evie is an excellent teacher. Patient and careful yet she keeps things moving so that there is a direction to the lessons. It makes it so worth coming into town with my Cello.

As an adult cello beginner, my experience with London Cello Institute has been wonderful. Amelia is an extremely talented tutor and she structures the learning process to my individual needs. She guides me patiently to explore, listen and feel my way around the instrument. She helps me understand notes and read music in small doses so that I’m not overwhelmed by it. I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made and very much look forward to my weekly lessons.

I have been taking cello lessons with Evie Coplan for over 10 months now and it's been a great experience so far! Evie is a very patient instructor and yet she encourages the right amount of challenge as well. I've started as an absolute beginner and I feel that I made a really good progress in these months.

Have been having my cello lessons as an adult beginner at the institute with Evie for more than a year, I would say it’s been the best decision I have made last year. Very clear instructions and Evie is very patient! Would 100% recommend to anyone who want to learn cello!

I have been studying with Evie Coplan at the Cello Institute for 18 months now i I progressed to grade 5/6 standard. As an experienced teacher and active perfomer she brings a practical insight to making music rather than just “playing”. It’s also wonderfully central and cost effective.
