Extremely poor recruitment consultants

Extremely poor recruitment consultants. Only seem to care about building a personal brand, not about any of their clients at all. Don’t seem to want to speak or build relationships with clients. In comparison to other consultancies out there, they are really not a great consultancy to work with. I would recommend working with others.

The ABSOLUTE WORST agency to work for

The ABSOLUTE WORST agency to work for as a contractor.

Payments delayed by several weeks with no support from Lorien despite numerous attempts to chase and resolve the issue.
They take zero accountability for these issues by simply scape goating the various other companies that they use for payroll, rather than Lorien contacting said companies to try to resolve the issue they leave you to chase around while they kick their feet up.

Very unprofessional when it comes to renewing contracts, customer had renewed contract weeks before end date however Lorien did not extend the contract on their portal for weeks leaving me not able to log timesheets, this was only able to be resolved by me chasing them numerous times because God forbid they have to do any work.

If you're a contractor and value being paid on time and having a supportive agency that helps resolves issues, Take this as a word of warning, this is NOT the agency to work for.

Unfortunate experience

This company contacted me about a role which was of high interest to me. After a couple of interviews, I managed to secure the job. The recruiter seemed to disappear after that point.

This recruiter in particular had also forgotten my start date with the new company and had to ask me to re-confirm which I found was a bit unprofessional. Fast forward to my first day and the recruiter didn’t check in with me to see how it went or anything.

Sadly, due to a lack of onboarding, I left the new role shortly after starting. The recruiter tried to call me the next day to discuss this. I responded via email and never heard back.

This was quite unfortunate as if there had been the usual support from a recruiter, it might have been possible to stay.

It seems these recruiters will care until they secure the commission, or if there’s a way to keep you there and keep their commission. I’m now back to the job search once again which was quite unexpected. I’d use this agency with caution.

Inept

They contacted me about a job that seemed of interest, but it all went downhill after that. They only shared minimal details of the role, so that when I asked for more information I had to listen to bored sounding recruiter obviously reading from a screen, without conveying any real understanding of the requirements nor offer to any further insight. I asked to be put forward all the same, but due to their slow responses (throughout the process) the role had already closed.

Terrible professionalism

I’m sorry but this recruitment agency needs to be outed. I applied for a role to which they called me at 8:45am and I couldn’t answer. I tried calling back several times that day, left voicemails and sent an email asking to call me back. After several attempts of calling the recruiter finally answered by saying “I have a meeting in 2mins” and not even apologising for not calling back or emailing back. Since then I have been sitting by phone expecting a call back but who am I kidding. I’m not getting a call back. Absolute disgusting professional giving nothing but false hope to people. There are people who are dying to hear back from applications and you are just looking to meet your daily targets. Absolutely sickening behaviour

Recruiters and communication!

Applied for a job, filled out Lorien's "agree to represent" questionnaire etc., and sent CV. Nothing,
Sent emails asking for feedback, whether positive or negative. Nothing.
Where is the common courtesy and decency in this industry?

On her day off

On her day off, Hayley very kindly passed my voicemail to Julia who reset a password, re-enabled access and made payments possible again. Lorien should be proud of its two consultants. Thank you Hayley & Julia.

Ghosted

Had 2 interviews (3 if you count the initial chat with talent acquisition). Was told it was between me and one other candidate who was being interviewed in a couple of days, so feedback would be after then. Was then informed the other candidate had to rearrange to the following week so feedback would be shortly after that. Then I never heard anything ever again.
