Initiative to help garment workers impacted by Covid. Lost Stock allows shoppers to buy a mystery box of clothes cancelled by leading brands and retailers. For every box bought a garment worker and her family for a week through the Bangladeshi NGO, Sajida Foundation. This initiative was set up in May 2020 in response to $2bn of clothes being cancelled by leading brands with no payments being made to factories. In 7 months 125,000 boxes were sold, surpassing the initial target of 10,000. To do this a new global supply chain was built during a pandemic from scratch.

Poor
My biggest regret about Lock stock was not donating the money straight to charity. The clothes were terrible, I actually feel bad for all the charity shos that will get stuck with these cast offs . I ve also noticed they have rebranded a coincidence I don't think. My recommendation is just donate directly to a good cause.
Goods not received.
Don’t recommend at all
Unfortunately I do not recommend you purchase from Lost Stock. I was excited to give to what I thought was a good cause (especially during current events) and receive a little something in return myself - so I ordered two boxes. I was excited by the prospect of it that I recommended it to my sister in law so she ordered a box too. Delivery took 6 months for one box (there was minimal communication), the clothes were not good quality at all! I could never imagine walking into a high street shop and seeing them sold there. Also they were the opposite of the colours I selected. My second box arrived randomly 7 months after I’d ordered it (I had NO communication with this one), again clothes were flimsy. Unfortunately my sister in laws never arrived and she received no communication from the company. From the company’s social media all I seeing was excuse after excuse from them. I’m still not sure if this was ever for charity or if it was one big scam.
Do not order from lost stock !
I ordered from lost stock during the first lockdown. Delivery took so long - about 4 months - I had forgotten about it! The clothes were absolutely dreadful, nothing in the colours or preferences I had chosen. My daughter and neighbour had the same experience. We all chose to do this for the right reasons, to support workers in Bangladesh. But there was no way these clothes were ever destined for chain stores. We put it down to experience and put the clothes in recycling clothes bank.
I was one of the unlucky ones who…
I was one of the unlucky ones who didn’t get a refund:
The items were shocking. Terrible quality. I recieved 3 items which were clearly seconds as were not finished correctly.

Don't fall for it...
Like other reviewers I also fell for the potential of doing a little good whilst buying new items. The reality is very different. Firstly, they are not a charity, they never say they are but they certainly give this perception across all their content.
I waited 4 months for delivery and the items that arrived were really poor quality and the size variation was massive from too small to way too big.
They do everything in their power to avoid returns but given that I'd had such poor service so far there was a badness in me that wanted to see it through to the end. I returned the items with tracking and these were received at the start of February and I'm still waiting on my refund. I have chased only to be told the warehouse haven't processed it yet. I have since been advised they will process the refund based on my proof of delivery - we shall see how long this takes...
I believe the intentions were good and with an enviable PR plan but the execution is truly shocking. They have now rebranded but please don't fall for it. They are operating on monies they hold from many disappointed customers (they've had mine for 7 months so far!) Just remember they are not a charity.

Total tat
2 blouses such odd shape that I don’t think they would fit anyone. Third shirt just about wearable fit wise but had rips in it!
I should have returned but didn’t because of charity.
Articles not even good enough to give to charity shop though.

Good quality garments, slight delay in delivery
I understood the premise of the purchase and accepted a delivery delay resulting from the volume of demand and from Covid. I then moved house before the package was delivered; when it was returned to Lost Stock they contacted me and kindly re-sent it to my updated address. The clothes are good quality, fit well and match my preferences. Interested to see LS next move!

A big let down
Ordered in June order no 99977, four months later I had no estimate on dispatch or tracking number and it was winter weather in the UK so I cancelled. I'm glad I did as it looks like it took an average of 6 months plus for people's parcels to be delivered. Good idea, badly executed.

Great idea and ethos, but products not as promised
I purchased 2 x lost stock boxes, one for a woman and the other for a man. At the time I ordered, the website stated you would receive high-end, high street brands, worth £70+. You were able to customise what you wanted by choosing your age, pattern/colour preferences etc.
Delivery took ages, but I was ok to wait. However, the products I received were lower quality than Primark. 3 very ugly, cheap tops no woman in her 20s would want to wear. The man's selection was a little better, but included pattern when I'd requested plain. As I couldn't use the items (and didn't think they were good enough for a charity shop) I returned both for a full refund and this was done efficiently.
I recommend not buying these, and instead donating direct to the charity, based on my experience.

I can forgive the delay in delivery but…
I can forgive the delay in delivery but after seeing the poor quality and style of the clothing being sent out I decided to cancel both my orders #74443 and #69113. I could find most of the items at Matalan one of which was being sold for £2.50! I don't mind donating to charity but wrap that up with what I believe to be a dishonest company and broken promises and it left me pretty disgusted.
Unfortunately for Loststock it looks like people are able to write honest reviews of their experiences despite this companies best attempts to remove them. Loststock you need to take a look at yourselves.

Absolutely would not recommend.
Absolutely would not recommend.
Firstly it literally took almost a year to even get to the tracking number. As everyone says they send emails to them and get the usual canned response. This is true for me too.
When the tracking number came i was waiting and waiting and it was not moving. It didn't even touch Royal Mail and they claim it was lost. Ironic right.
My theory is that they keep your money for as long as possible invest it put it in stocks ect. Stall the customer until they make more money then the customer deposits and then puts the cheapest clothing they can buy in there.

They promised topshop and delivered matalan, what more can I say?
The idea behind this is great; Support factory workers in third world countries by purchasing clothes that they can't sell during the pandemic.
However this was a total disaster. I brought a box and it took a fair few months (promised 8 weeks delivery) for it to arrive.
Then when it did I was highly disappointed by the quality of the items. They were matalan clothes and felt cheap. Only 1 of the items I received I liked, and I'm one of the lucky ones.
I can forgive the postage delay if they clothes were good. If the items were super fashionable like zara or mango then it would be a lot better. The quality was so poor and the items were so unfashionable, it really wasn't worth the plastic it was wrapped in.
It's such a shame as there is real potential for this to be an excellent business model and a way to reduce the carbon footprint the fashion industry has, but with the quality and style being so poor, you might aswel buy second hand on vinted and donate to charity directly.

5 months after ordering I was very disappointed
I placed an order on 7th June for a male and female box. The premise behind the company sounded great.
Received the female clothes on the 5th October, 5 months later. The quality of the clothing was poor, the items were the wrong size and aimed at someone younger than the age range I had preferred.
I contacted Loststock and my male box order was cancelled immediately, even though I hadn't asked to not receive that (no clothes for the hubby :() I then was told I had to pay to return the items unless I let them keep £12.95 (which they claim was the charitable donation portion).
This company is not a charity and I feel that they have been close to misselling themselves as one..
All in all would not recommend them to anyone.

They do amazing work!
They do amazing work, a really great cause to support. It must have been a big operation to put together and their communication was great throughout. I loved the items I received and I look forward to seeing what they do next.

Thought this a great idea last May
Thought this a great idea last May. Summer stock eventually arrived in October. Promises of value for donation not fulfilled as garments not worth the money. Many people I understand experienced the same. I did not ask for a refund as others did, however would not repeat the experience.

Great customer support
This is my 4th box from lost stock, the first 2 admittedly took their time to arrive, but the ethos was to help out struggling families and for that reason I didn’t mind, especially as I had regular emails updating me. The last 2 boxes arrived super quick however the contents were duplicated. This was immediately rectified by lost stock and I received a replacement in no time, very happy with their service and customer support

I ordered my lost stock box in May…
I ordered my lost stock box in May 2020, it sounded like such a fabulous idea and a great way to donate and save more rubbish in the landfill. My 6 week wait turned into nearly 7 months, numerous emails sent from the company stating it was on its way, it clearly wasn't. I wasn't overly worried about the wait as such, covid has had an effect on everything, but the lies they kept telling were ridiculous. When the clothes finally arrived they were not as promised at all and bearly worth the 'donation'. On further investigation it seems just a teeny percent went to helping the workers and the rest was for profit. I now notice that all the true reviews on lost stocks own page are being deleted....this is disgusting practice and truly dishonest. If they had been honest from the start they would have had better reviews in the first place. Don't waste your time with this company donate in other ways

Received 2 £5 polo shirts and 2 Matalan wafer thin 2 shirts that distorted on first wash. You have to make sure your promise of quality is kept to ensure more orders. Hope money did some good.

Don't bother.
After little to no communication about the status and being told that I can't cancel the order because it has been shipped. I decided to wait until I got the parcel and the clothing.
I wish I didn't wait. Three ill fitting and low quality tops that are definitely not worth the price paid. I wish I found another way to support garment workers in Bangladesh.
Honestly don't bother with Lost Stock.
