After 6 years back to Cyprus for holidays

Due to the current price increases in hotels, rental cars and rooms (AirBnb) in Greece in the high season (July August), and especially in Eretria - Amarynthos on the Evia island where there was little value for money, and supposedly many star hotels / properties were not good at all / very bad (in other words where hoteliers try to make the whole year's income in the two months of July August), we decided to head for another cheaper destination outside Greece (Eastern Mediterranean). In addition, the 2 star Hotel Petit Village Eretria in Greece was no longer in operation or could not be booked for reasons unknown to us. IN THIS CASE CYPRUS WAS THE RIGHT ALTERNATIVE DECISION FOR US. This year was also the commemoration of the 50 years after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. On Saturday 20 July the time had come and many commemorative events took place to commemorate this anniversary. It was clear to us that we didn't want a supposedly AI mass processing hotel with lots of stars, where you don't get or find a bottle of water in the room fridge when you arrive, or with additional expenses on site to book increased meals and supposed AI Plus / AI Premium service, with empty drinks fridges in the rooms, and alcoholic drinks on tap in the bars / restaurants. We looked for hotels around Makronissos Beach and Landa Beach in the Ayia Napa area. Individually and through TUI Germany (hotel booking only) we booked the cheap 3* (according to the TUI catalog?!) Hotel Loutsiana for 2 weeks in Ayia Napa including breakfast. Outward and return flights with Aegean Airlines (A3 / Star Alliance Member), including meals on board, all checked baggage and hand luggage, and free advance seat reservation on board (Flex Economy Class). Everything at normal prices despite high season in air travel for medium-term bookings. Detailed: Outward flights: 1st person: CGN - ATH - LCA (1 ticket), 2nd person: ATH - LCA (same flight number from Athens for both of us). Together we landed on time at 12:00 noon with Aegean Airlines at Larnaka airport! Return flights: 1st person: LCA - ATH - DUS (1 ticket), 2nd person: LCA - ATH (same flight number to Athens for both of us). Transfer from/to Larnaka airport very cheaply pre-booked via shuttledirekt.com (local travel agencies: MTS Globe Cyprus / Summertimes Travel) / approx. 30 euros each way. On the outward journey the friendly Greek Cypriot driver Antonis picked us up from Larnaka airport in his air-conditioned limousine in a flash and drove us to the Loutsiana Hotel in Ayia Napa. We were already at the hotel for check-in at half past one in the afternoon. Return transfer with “Kapnos” coach in the evening also non-stop trip to the airport.Unfortunately, a late check-out from the hotel for a fee was not possible because the hotel was fully booked on our return day, as the hotel reception informed us.
