Why pitch with us... Opened in 2017, Love2Stay is a Caravan and Motorhome Club Affiliated Site on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. A touring site and 'glamping' village, set in 22 acres of landscaped grounds close to the England-Wales border, it boasts sleek, modern architecture and superb facilities. Just a short drive from the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Love2Stay has 122 fully-serviced pitches. Wi-Fi is available for all guests throughout the site and attractions include outdoor yoga, a Pilates studio, a gym and wellness centre, a coffee shop / Italian pizzeria, outdoor barbecues and cooking fire pits, jogging and walking paths and even barefoot trails. The Shropshire touring site also features a separate dog walking area, a wooden adventure playground for children, on-site fishing, a BIOTOP natural swimming pool with water garden and heated outdoor hot springs, splashpool with beach and sun terrace. Whilst you may rarely venture out after pitching up because of the broad range of activities and facilities available, the medieval county town of Shrewsbury offers historic landmarks and an impressive range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants to explore. Ironbridge, home to the magnificent structure that spans the River Severn and gives the town its name, is less than 13 miles away, while other nearby attractions include the National Trust’s Attingham Park and Wroxeter Roman Vineyard. Whether you want to exercise, spend valuable time with family and friends, explore the area or simply relax and get away from it all, Love2Stay is a state-of-the-art site to suit all tastes. With enhanced protocols and guaranteed cleanliness standards to ensure heightened health and safety measures for guests seeking peace of mind at Love2Stay.

Restaurant closes early
Love2stay is an amazing site and we have stayed here a number of times despite living close by. However, the reason for the 3 star review is down to the restaurant. We had friends also staying on site and could only get back to the site for 7 pm. I rang reception and asked opening times. I was told last order for food was 7.30 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm placed an order for drinks. We were told last order was 7.20 pm. By now it was 7.15 pm. We got our order in by the skin of our teeth. We were then told on numerous occasions they were closing. We got talking to some other caravanners and it would have been nice to chat. Closing so early on a site is very surprising.
Good value for January
We stayed out of season so it was very quiet, everywhere was nice and clean. We didn't use any other facilities but we didn't see much activity by anyone else doing any activities either. It was good value for the time of year. We would go again for a winter break.
This was our first time in a caravan…
This was our first time in a caravan and we only had a one night stay, but found the site clean and friendly, better than some sites we've camped with in tents. This pitch was well appointed. We will visit again, hopefully in better weather. Due to the weather and short stay we only looked around all that the site had to offer.

Sadly we were disappointed with the Twilight Trail this year. We started bringing our grandson last year and wanted to make it a tradition. Last year we thought it was fabulous. However, this year it seemed that not as much effort was put in. No music, some of the displays not working, no activity tents, no bubbles in the tunnel, in fact it took us no longer than ten minutes to walk around. Thank goodness the pit fire and marshmallows were still there. I could hear other families with the same opinion. Please make next year as spectacular as years before, we are local and love supporting our local businesses

Just picked our new motorhome up stayed for one night pitches where nice and large site was immaculate nice and quiet 😁
Unsatisfactory overall
Be very sure you want to use enough facilities here to make it worth their very high prices for touring pitches.
It’s a big site but the owners have really crammed in too much accommodation/pitches etc. (a huge variety of them) into the space making it feel overcrowded. Hot water in the showers could not keep up with demand during the busy half-term period. Not acceptable at this price point.
Wild-swimming pond is a good idea, but the area cordoned-off for use when we were there was tiny, much smaller than that shown on their website photo. Unaccompanied children using the hot tubs, despite CCTV and Reception being close-by.
Food in cafe mediocre. Bins for dog-mess often overflowing. One caravan pitch (away from our pitch thankfully) had a big wood fire (not a BBQ) in an open metal brazier with flames and sparks sometimes leaping 5 feet high or more. Clearly a safety hazard. Did not report this as Reception was unmanned and I could not be bothered to try and find out how to make a report as it was at the end of our rather unsatisfactory stay. Suggest staff patrol periodically, especially during peak season/times (as they do on Club sites).
Halloween weekend
Had a great few days away last weekend. All the better for being there whilst the Halloween event was on. Seeing the caravans and motorhomes dressed up with cobwebs, bats, skulls and witches was great. All lit up at night. The children looked great all dressed up doing the trick or treating. Great experience. Lovely location. Already booked up again.
Excellent site in all respects
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Piches we're large and whole site very well cared for.
Toilets and showers excellent.
Cafe brilliant.
Good dog walk.
Love2Stay Shrewsbury
Good facilities, immaculate and well kept site. Lovely landscaping.
Bonus is that its next to (and part of) Salop Leisure who sell caravans and motorhomes so if you like looking at these youll be happy. Also static holiday homes.
The not so good - no on site shop. If you want a pint of milk, bottle of beer or bread the nearest shop AFAIK is the A5 service station at roundabout along Thieves Lane. It is a horrible walk due to traffic and poor road crossing facilities.
If you visit without a car then there is a bus every 2 hours into Shrewsbury.
Thankyou forcour stay.

Can’t wait to return
Exceptional
Our short visit exceeded our expectations, right from our warm welcome through to practical help at our departure.
Facilities are superb quality and very well maintained.
Well done. We will definitely return (probably with the rest of our family)
Go here every year for my birthday…
Go here every year for my birthday staff are friendly and helpful natural pool is amazing and dog agility is great for our 2 dogs fantastic stay
Mediocre.
1. People allowed to park anywhere on the pitch despite the rules. With campers pulling in to pitches facing horizontally with headlights into other units.
2. “Heated Leisure pool for all ages” is nothing but a glorified paddling pool for toddlers. At a depth on the deep end of 0.65m. Alternative for adults is a freshwater pond to swim in that is literally an ice cold dunk pool.
3. Wi-Fi not available at any location on pitch despite being advertised.
4. Electric scooters/bikes/go carts and even an electric scrambler being used on site despite rules stating they aren’t allowed.
5. Pitches overridden with cars, up to 3 parked on other pitches despite rules stating 1 vehicle per pitch. It feels like you are staying in a car park.
6. Toilet cassette cleaning facility advertised as a £2.00 charge per use in the brochure. However on arrival at the cassette station the cost is double this.
7. Poor communication to guests as to opening times of pizzeria, hours were extended over summer however this was not conveyed to guests via email or upon check in.
8. Grass in need of a cut, not once during our stay of 8 days did we see any workers maintaining the land.
9. Hedgerows at side of pitch and rear full of stingy nettles and brambles which are poor when the site is aimed at catering towards children.
10. Every night for the last 3 nights loud music has started at midnight with heavy bass. Apparently this was a festival pre planned nearby. Again - this pre planned festival and anticipated noise pollution was not conveyed to guests - especially those with young children.
11. Fridge in cafe not working for the entire stay - all they had to offer was warm beer.
12. The place is absolutely overridden with wasps!
Pitches of good size and nice play area. However as advertised as a 5* resort and for the cost, this does not live up to expectations. If the wardens and managers enforced the rules they could improve this site.
Words are not enough
Words are not enough , this is a beautiful place to stay I would recommend the woodland lodge , 10/10 , staff all round top especially the canoes made my daughter feel at ease n fun to be around , definitely give it a go , will be bk soon 👍👍👍
Better for young families
Our first visit touring our caravan to a non coastal retreat of 4 nights with our daughters 10&12.
Check in was fast and informative. The pitches are extra large. You’d fit two caravans on these and a car they’re that big so there is ample space, first time we hadn’t needed to level our van which was amazing and each has privacy hedging with a grass embankment or back green space.
The facilities were clean and pleasant, the showers and toilets had space not like usual jammed packed tiny cubicles. The block is pleasantly warm, the showers are lovely and hot with complimentary shampoo and body wash. There are also hair dryers and baby bathing facilities. Great to see a large squeegee to mop excess water away before /after.
The grounds are well kept. We saw staff keeping the grass trimmed and stones / rubbish clear during the week days on the pitches and grounds.
The layout is well thought out. Keeping the activities and pools down from site. The maps are clear to follow.
My girls enjoyed clay modelling. Assault course. S’mores and fire building. Paddle boarding and kayaking. Hats off to the lads particularly joe and another (sorry didn’t catch his name) for their genuine enthusiasm and engaging our older kids when the weather was naff (for fire building & assault course ) or they were the only two booked in. They were fantastic and worth the money we paid!
The dog compound is a good walking and ball throwing space and the agility and dog wash station a nice extra.
The cafe offers a nice selection of beverages, cakes and savoury bites. We didn’t dine in properly.
The pool was fresh and a new experience, the hot tubs were okay but get very murky late in the day after many people. We had an incident where my daughter went into the kids beach pool and put her hands down in faeces… totally unpleasant (baby pools for you I guess) but they quickly vacated everyone and dealt with the issue not that we returned.
As a first experience we enjoyed our stay. Great for kids and families and it really is a dog friendly site.
The only points that I felt impacted our stay would be fair use policy of the hot tubs - we gave up waiting some days with hot tubs filled with young kids and teens going in and out of large groups ignoring the 5 max and hogging tubs. They get quite yucky later on in the day as you can imagine so I didn’t feel clean in them. The hot tub and pools don’t appear to be monitored. We only saw a staff member two afternoons of the 5 days we stayed.
It would be great to have a small shop or vending machine just to sell milk or perhaps some snacks or biscuits too. That was a big one for us - caravan fridges aren’t big so having to drive off site every two days for milk was an inconvenience.
It would be nice if the cinema screenings were free on a book a place basis. I thought £5/child was rather expensive so didn’t utilise this.
The waste collection needed some attention although that’s down to those overfilling bins and lazy people not availability. Would be great to see some recycling bins as everything but glass was dumped together.
despite this i must stay the staff were friendly, helpful. The ladies on reception were just lovely!
Absolutely lovely place to stay
Absolutely lovely place to stay. Staff friendly and welcoming. The whole place is well maintained and beautifully kept. Safari lodge was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Love to stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was one of our many trips to love to stay throughout the year and we have never been disappointed with the site or facility’s. Loved our time away and would definitely recommend, we have already booked to come back again.
Would have liked to have stayed longer
Just had 5 nights here with our caravan along with our family. It’s a lovely clean site and the pitch sizes are generous. The staff are welcoming. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Our dog enjoyed the secure dog fields. There is a good coffee shop which does nice breakfasts. Lots of other facilities. The toilets and showers are very clean and warm. Very happy with our stay!
