Great! Made driving seem simple and achievable. Knows how to prepare you mentally, I passed first time after only having 27 hours worth of lessons. Thank you!

A Very helpful course!
It was a really helpful and quick corse. Just watch the videos, then complete the follow up questions. Everything is split into topics which means that the video are short, sweet and easy to get your head around. Can’t recommend it enough. It was all done in two weeks and I passed first time!

I booked a beginner course and my instructor was Becky. I found the company very good and helpful throughout the whole process. I have autism and decided to do a semi intensive course which helped me adapt to driving that suited my learning ability. My instructor planned my training and had lots of road experience out of town and drove to other places. Very happy with full service and would recommend to anyone doing an intensive driving course.

DONT USE THEM!!
DONT USE THEM!!
I bought 25hr intensive course with them. From the first lesson, the driving instructor Claire kept cancelling my lessons at the last minute. I end up having 2hour lessons with her while paying intensive course rates because she can’t fit me in her calendar. Furthermore, most of the lessons I have were 6-8 am. Yes, AM, in the morning!!! I didn’t say anything cuz my test was coming and I really wanted to get this done. But even I got up at 5.00am for her lesson, she still canceled me at the last minute!! In total she canceled on me 6 times! 6!! She ghosted me multiple times when I ask for future class schedule!! After 22 hour learning, she told me I was not ready to take my test so she won’t lend me her car for that. Well of course I am not!!! She didn’t even teach me parallel parking at that moment! Please bear in mind I had 25 hr driving learning experience before I started course with her. So I was not starting from scratch.
After I informed LPOD I would no longer continue with them anymore, they suddenly became very rude and refused to give me my booking reference number of my test. Just as when I thought things can’t be worse, I realised yesterday that they cancelled my test after 4 MONTH since i informed them I want with them. Their reason was ridiculous: as you are not an active student anymore, we decided to cancel your driving test. This is unacceptable at all for exact reason that they can’t manage my test because I am not their student. Now everything goes back to square 1 and I have to rebook my test god knows when I can find a suitable date and test centre. Reading all the other reviews, I realise how much I love their pettiness when they trying to screw you over but still write you something like ‘ We appreciate your comments’.
Overall, don’t use them. Don’t waste your time and money on them. They are going to take advantage of you as much as they can. LPOD academy, If there is negative star, you will be minus 5.

Beware - be sure you read all T&Cs and FAQs before you commit
Firstly, booking was straightforward, a suitable (and it turns out very good) instructor was appointed for my daughter, and she passed the theory test successfully. At the end of the programme of lessons she took but failed the practical test (3 weeks ago).
Today I contacted LPod (via its online chat) to ask how to arrange the free retest, but was told this has to be done within 7 days of the test failure. No satisfactory reason was given, just a repeated reference to their T&Cs.
The communication from the company all through the process has been poor, with no clear step-by-step explanation of what happens at each stage. It seems the most important information is buried in the T&Cs (and in some of the FAQs) on the website, and not sent explicitly to the customer on booking.
Overall I am disappointed in the company's inflexibility and to acknowledge its poor customer care.

Do NOT use this company......
Do not use this company......
My son had a Gold course booked and undertook with a really great, caring driving instructor called Dave.
However, my son failed on the first and second attempts (which we do not believe is anything to do with the quality of instruction but for other reasons).
However - the very important info to remember here, is that when you complete your course of lessons - you go to the bottom of the list, when it comes to effort and focus for this company. So they claim that the reason it takes them so long to rearrange a test for you, is because of the Covid effect. We now know, it is because LPod do not want their instructors being focussed on retakes. So we waited and waited, and chased and waited - and when we threatened legal action, by way of the small claims court - we miraculously received a new test date.
My advice to all is if you are tied into this company for a lesson package right now - and dont pass first time - cut your ties with them immediately and download a test cancellation checker app. You will then retain control of a new test date.
My son failed yesterday - for the third time - but using the App to check for a new test date, we today have a new test date of 5th January.
So then if you work out 45 lessons at £29 = £1305, you have no clue as to where the £400 left from the original total value has been used. Easy money made under very tenuous circumstances - avoid at all costs!!!

Absolutely Appalled
Absolutely Appalled, 1200 words isn’t enough to cut it. 8-14 day course was booked, that course was rushed in 5 days. It DOES NOT state ever in on the site it’ll be completed any sooner, the person DID state to the instructor they had ADHD and yet 8 hours a day in a car for five days is the suitable way of dealing with this. The instructor has ALL messages of my concerns LPOD claim I didn’t express any issues during training, I did to instructor. As I was lead to believe he was a contracted driver who isn’t even an employee but someone who works for an agency. The instructor claims my progress was slow hence was I was NEVER taken to the test routes and yet, a student who is apparently not making progress is good enough for their 8-14 potentially + day course squeezed into five. The customer service has been terrible, no care, no offer to help. COVID IS NOT an excuse I’m sure we are all tired of hearing this. This company may well have deserved its 4.7 star rating but PEASE have a look at other company’s as this has taken a massive blow to quality standard and false advertisement. The instructors want you in and out as fast as possible. You will NOT get what you pay for.
Company completely let us down
Company completely let us down, driving instructor that was allocated was very inefficient in organising his diary and would not commit to definite dates and times so we cancelled course. Lpod then refused to give me my deposit back even though I had cancelled within their terms as no start date had been confirmed by ADI.
Extremely disappointed and now out of pocket. Be careful before you book an intensive course with this company
