I had the pleasure of learning Korean with 주희 at LTL Language School. She is a highly prepared, patient, and engaging teacher, with excellent communication skills. She is also very flexible and adaptable, always adjusting her lessons to suit my learning needs. In addition to teaching the language, she offered fascinating insights into Korean culture, which made the classes both enjoyable and enriching.

I studied for four weeks in October at the LTL Japanese school in Tokyo. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! They developed a program for me based on my specific needs and interests.

I especially enjoyed the extracurricular activities which gave me a chance to meet other students from the school, and explore all that Tokyo has to offer.

The teachers and support staff were great, and the school is in a great faciity in a convenient location - close to two stations on the Yamanote line! I hope I can return soon!

I did a one week vietnamese course in Hanoi. It was very well organized and I could improve my vietnamese a lot with my teacher Jasmine.

I really enjoyed studying at LTL School in Seoul. The classes with my teacher Yunjeong were very stimulating, and she is a very funny and patient teacher!! I really liked that we practiced speaking a lot. I highly recommend the school and I hope I can go back to study there again very soon. The school staff members were incredibly kind and always helpful! I also loved the activities they organized!!

I attended class for two weeks and it was amazing!

Both teachers I had, Jennifer and Yoonjeong, were super accomodating and very motivated to teach the students. I am glad I chose this school over the others and would recommend anyone to take a look at their program.

I spent two weeks at LTL Seoul with German Bildungsurlaub, and it was amazing. Although two weeks of intensive classes was demanding, my learning output was great! The team at LTL Seoul is very supportive and customer-oriented. My two teachers, Kyle and Hyeri, did an absolutely amazing job, and I wouldn't trade the world for anybody else. Both knew their students, class, and content outstandingly well and did an amazing job with the learners. The school is VERY conveniently located in Seoul itself but also in Hongdae. As prices for private language classes and language schools tend to be high, I would definitely always choose LTL, as their student-centered services are exceeding on all levels.

This is my second time in Seoul within two months, and I've been attending private lessons for a week each time. The second time around, my teacher, Dasom, was also very patient with me, and I learned a great deal. Since we only communicated in Korean during class and only used the translation app in difficult situations, I was able to understand much more afterwards than before.
I highly recommend this school! I will definitely book another one-week private course during my next stay and try out the online courses until then. Many thanks again to the great team.

We have just returned home from a six week stay in Beijing where we attended language classes at LTL Beijing. This was our first visit to China and we decided that we would base ourselves in the city and get to know it as well as learn Chinese. My husband is also Chinese and though not born in China, his late parents came from north China and Hong Kong. For him, our trip to China was very much one of heritage and our time in Beijing did not disappoint us.

We chose LTL Beijing based on the good reviews the School had received from satisfied students. However, as an older couple, we also had some initial reservations that the student community at the School would be much younger and may not want to mix. The School assured us that our ages would not be a problem and they were right. The international student community at the School could not have been more friendly and welcoming to us. We soon felt very much at home in their company and have made some good friends. It was such a positive experience to meet and get on with people from different countries.

The language lessons themselves were well-structured and informative. Our teachers, Lilia and Alice, were very friendly, approachable and very patient particularly when answering our queries about grammar and Chinese culture. Both are very committed and dedicated teachers. In the lessons, they would encourage us to create our own sentences in Chinese; correct our pronunciation and use of tones when we spoke; and explain particular aspects of grammar. For my husband who has some knowledge of Cantonese but not Mandarin, his progress was impressive. By the end of our six week stay, he could manage a basic conversation in Mandarin which gave him the confidence to even make jokes! His teacher was Lilia and my husband felt he gained much from her insightful and supportive teaching. My teacher was Alice. Her lessons were very engaging and as the days passed, I found that I could understand more when she spoke to the class in Mandarin. Alice was very encouraging about our use of tones and would ask us to repeat words and phrases until she was satisfied that we were getting a feel for the spoken words.

The staff at LTL Beijing were just great! They were very friendly and helpful if we had any queries. The staff were happy to answer our questions and were very cheerful. They made us feel very welcome. Both Ilaria, the School’s Student Advisor, and Masako taught us mahjong which we would play in the breaks between our lessons. My husband became pretty good at it and won several games but I have yet to experience that!

The School’s events programme for the students was varied but not mandatory. The choice was left up to the individual if they wished to participate or not. Getting involved in the events was a great way to socialise more with our fellow students and to find out more about Beijing. The School’s Director, Linda, had put a lot of thought and planning into the variety of activities and events for the students. We attended a tea ceremony, pottery sessions, had a chance to dress in period costumes from the Qing Dynasty, visited the Drum Tower and a highlight for my husband was a visit to the Great Wall. Ilaria was responsible for the evening events and these were well planned and very sociable occasions. We did some karaoke at KTV which was great fun and also attended a Beijing Opera event which was interesting but not to everyone’s taste.

For our accommodation, we opted for a home-stay as we were keen to live with a Chinese family so we could speak more Mandarin and as this was our first time to Beijing, the family could help us to get to know the city more. We stayed with a lovely couple – Shi Zhong and Fang Fang – and had a great time with them. They were so helpful particularly at the beginning when we were experiencing issues with Alipay and WeChat.

In all, we had a fantastic time in Beijing. It is a challenging yet vibrant city with a fascinating history. Our time at LTL Beijing was very enjoyable and both of us feel we have gained a lot in our language learning. We felt very welcomed at the School and have made some lovely friends. Thanks LTL Beijing for all your support and we plan to return one day.

I recently studied Vietnamese in Hanoi with Thuý Hiền (Jasmine) through LTL Language School, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Although LTL doesn’t yet have a physical campus in Hanoi, the school runs its operations there extremely smoothly. The LTL team was incredibly organized and supportive—they helped arrange my airport transfers, taught me how to use the Grab ride service (Vietnam’s version of Uber), and placed me with a wonderful Vietnamese host family. Their attention to detail made my stay easy and enjoyable, so I could focus entirely on learning the language and culture.

My teacher, Thuý Hiền, was exceptional. She’s patient, engaging, and knows exactly how to help students build confidence in speaking Vietnamese. One of the highlights of my course was participating in what LTL calls “language safaris”—teacher-guided field trips around Hanoi to explore cultural and historical sites while practicing Vietnamese in real situations. These safaris were fun, educational, and a great way to apply what I’d learned in class.

I highly recommend both LTL Language School and Teacher Thuý Hiền (Jasmine) to anyone serious about learning Vietnamese. Studying in Hanoi was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to return!

Everything starting from the beginning went really smooth. Communication with the company and with my teacher Hien was flawless. Highly recommended!

My 3-week program at LTL was incredible, and a huge part of that was my teacher, Panpan. She made learning Chinese not only effective but also really fun. Her patience and clear explanations gave me the confidence to pass the HSK 1 exam. 很高兴 !

Outside of class, the Chengdu Safari was a highlight. We got to explore amazing parts of the city, which was a fantastic and immersive cultural experience. It was the perfect way to practice what we learned in class.

I can't recommend Panpan enough.  Tā shì zuì hǎo de lǎoshī! If you're thinking about studying at LTL, you should definitely do it

I studied in Hanoi for a month and in that time my teacher Jasmine has been incredibly kind, patient and attentive in teaching me Vietnamese. After one month I had noticed real progress and am more confident in speaking.

Hello. I live in the middle of the USA. I have been self-studying Japanese for the past 8 years as an older adult. However, there are almost zero Japanese people that live around me and even if there are Japanese people around, I really doubt they want to be my speaking partner. That's where LTL Flexiclasses fits in. I am so happy I found this program on line. They make it easy to first trial the lessons for free and then you can decide if you want to stick with the program or not. I felt so relieved after my first lesson, it was effortless. At this point , I have done around 100 x 1 hour lessons. The online teachers are super supportive and friendly and they are native speakers. The group online courses can hold up to 5 students, but I found that 99% of the time the class turned out to be just me and the instructor - awesome. There was so much speaking practice! I also thought the learning materials were really well done, thoughtful, and practical. They really drilled into the grammar point and the nuances. After studying for 8 years on my own, much of it is review for me, but adding ltl flexiclasses makes it all come to life. Also, built in to each level is an unstructured 'free talk' lesson over a certain topic, such as Japanese martial arts, holidays, desserts, etc. Those lessons are super enjoyable as well. I cannot recommend this LTL Flexiclass program enough. To anybody that's on the fence about it, please try it. It's legit, fun, and educational. Great teachers and a great platform. Excellent value!

I'm happy to write a few words about my experience with LTS Beijing, especially since I can only report positive things. I've resumed my online Chinese lessons at home, and the young teacher who lives in Beijing is delighted with the progress I've made after the two-week course at LTS Beijing. That's the greatest compliment for the school and for our teacher, Alice. In class, she answered all the students' questions, but on the other hand—and this is only to be welcomed—she insisted that we pronounce Chinese vowels and consonants correctly and practiced the most important sentence structures by repeatedly constructing our own sentences. I also found the social support provided by Ilaria and you to be reliable and thoughtful. Overall, a big "bravo!" I will come back and stay with you for four weeks as soon as I've saved enough money, but no later than 2027. Today, I wish you all the best!

I had an amazing experience studying at LTL Mandarin School in Beijing. Not only did I get to know this fascinating city, but the school itself exceeded all my expectations.

My classes with Lilia were an absolute highlight. She wasn’t just friendly and fun — she was genuinely curious about our cultures and often shared Chinese customs with us, which made lessons feel like real cultural exchanges. She constantly encouraged us to create sentences in Mandarin while making the classes lively and engaging. On top of that, she was excellent at understanding my “broken” Chinese and patiently helping me correct it, which gave me the confidence to keep trying and improving. Her friendliness, curiosity, and dedication made learning both enjoyable and effective, and I can honestly say she played a huge role in my progress.

The program itself is well-structured and effective, and my classmates were all great people, which made the learning environment even more positive. Even during the breaks, the atmosphere at school was fantastic — the staff were kind, attentive, and fun to hang out with. We ended up playing a lot of mahjong during those moments, and I quickly became addicted to it.

The school staff also deserve a big compliment: they were always ready to help with anything, whether it was buying tickets, answering questions, or even solving issues with Chinese apps that can be tricky for newcomers. That kind of support made a huge difference in daily life and gave me peace of mind throughout my stay.

The activities organized by the Director of Studies, Linda, were excellent. They were fun, engaging, and well thought out, giving me a genuine glimpse into Chinese culture and daily life. They also created great opportunities to socialize with other students and discover things I wouldn’t have found on my own. The evening activities run by Ilaria complemented this perfectly — her choices were always creative, thoughtful, and fun. They often turned into social gatherings where we would have a drink during or after the event, which made them not only cultural highlights but also fantastic bonding experiences. Both Linda and Ilaria put a lot of care into their activities, and together they made my time at LTL even more memorable.

I also had the chance to do a homestay for four weeks with Mary, and it was an unforgettable experience. She was incredibly kind and always went out of her way to help me, whether with daily life or practicing Mandarin. Since she didn’t speak fluent English (you can actually choose the English level of your homestay family), we ended up speaking a lot of Mandarin, which was a huge benefit for my learning. Whenever my Mandarin wasn’t enough, she was patient and creative, using gestures or apps to make sure we understood each other.

The school also offers some really useful extra packages. I chose the Survival Kit, which included airport pick-up, a metro card, and a SIM card with data — a real lifesaver for someone new to China. I also tried the Connection Kit, where a Chinese person takes you out to experience local life. In my case, it was teacher Tara, and I really liked it. She showed me places that felt authentically local rather than touristy, and it was a fun way to both enjoy Beijing and practice my Chinese in real-life situations. Tara was a lot of fun to hang out with, and she made the whole experience even better.

On top of all this, Beijing itself is a truly fascinating city. Walking through it, you’re always bound to find something new and interesting — from hidden streets to lively markets and cultural gems around every corner. And the people in China are incredibly welcoming; they are kind, receptive, and always ready to help, even if there’s a language barrier. This made my stay even more special.

Overall, my time at LTL was incredible from start to finish. The school, the teachers (especially Lilia!), the activities (thanks to both Linda and Ilaria), the staff, the homestay, the city itself, and the people all came together to create an experience I’ll never forget. I can wholeheartedly recommend LTL to anyone who wants to learn Mandarin and experience China in a truly immersive way.

Needless to say I had a really wonderful experience at LTL Beijing; I was very far from home so I couldn't have immagined I'd have found kind of a second home there, other than the beautiful city and kind people the school itself is very well made and managed, the lessons are never boring and interactive, I didn't have the time to be distracted and learnt a lot! The teachers and other students are also a great company and I got to bond eith a lot of them during the afternoon cultural activities (whic were also a lot of fun); lastly the host family I was staying at was so welcoming and enjoyable to be with that I whish I could see tham again soon.
I've traveld many places but this will always have the number one spot in my heart, I absolutely recommend it

LTL language in Beihai is the best! In most language schools, after class you just go home or go to do your own business, but here it was different. Savannah ( works with students) worked very hard to make every day fulfilling and full of emotions. She always asked what I wanted to do after class, she was always there for me, supported me, introduced me to many people, showed me many new things, and taught me a lot. I didn't feel lonely; I felt like part of a community, like part of this country. She always took an interest in what I wanted to do. It's very important that the school takes students' preferences into account.

As for the lessons, they were also relaxed and fun. My teacher's name was Summer. We had two-hour one-on-one lessons with her every day. We discussed a lot of things in class. I really enjoyed when we talked about Chinese traditions and culture during the lessons, because I believe that just learning the language is not enough – you also need to know more about people and country. This helps you integrate into society better and understand the county.
The school has a nice location, you can find different restaurants, tea places , shops and etc.

Studying at LTL was a great experience. Thank you so much for all the effort and help. I was everyday greeted by 현영, Manuel and Leo with so much warmth and joy. It made me feel super welcomed. 현영 made always sure I was okay and was interested in my progress. She is really going out of her way to make everyone feel safe and included, even when you come alone.

I spent three weeks studying at LTL Language School in Beijing, and it was truly a fantastic and memorable experience.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and supportive. The school is well-organized, with a strong focus not only on effective language learning, but also on building a real sense of community among students from all over the world.

She was always patient, clear, and encouraging helping me build confidence and make steady progress in Chinese.
