The Lunchbox team was a great advocate for us during our 2.0 onboarding.
We had some technical issues when first onboarding to Lunchbox 2.0 but our rep, Kate, and the upper management team at Lunchbox all worked with us to get to the bottom of those issues and resolve them and continued to check in to make sure that everything was working properly. Kate was our direct point of contact and she kept us up-to-date on the progress of tickets we put in and was a great advocate for us. Since those initial issues have been resolved, our experience has improved and we are happy with the switch over to 2.0.

The best in the industry
When looking for the best provider for online ordering, loyalty, and gift cards for our company we interviewed and demoed countless options and ultimately landed on Lunchbox. The product is great, but even better are the people behind the curtain who make all of the magic happen. Rarely can you find a team that is as dedicated to your success as the folks at Lunchbox are. Particularly, Mark has been absolutely critical to much of our success as a brand going through our digital transformation. At times it almost feels like he is a team member at our company, proving his commitment to ensuring that we are fully educated and supported in launches, new roll outs, etc. Because of Mark and other great team members, I’ve referred Lunchbox to many other restaurant brands and will continue to do so.
Gift card integration issue
The reason that Lunchbox is getting 5 stars for this issue resolution rests solely on the shoulders of Mark Turner, Director of Special Projects. We've been unimpressed by Lunchbox's customer service and issue resolution in the past, but Mark worked tirelessly for a week to help us fix the problems we were having with integration of giftcards into our system, coordinating with Toast as well as our former card printer and providers to make sure everything was fixed. Mark was in touch with our team, followed up with others when their service lagged, and kept communicating about consistent progress.

Turner takes care of business
Every interaction over the past year with Mark Turner has been absolutely helpful, learning/understanding based for all parties, and solution oriented. He always gets to the bottom of the issue/s at hand, leaning on all resources necessary, which as a restaurant partner is what we need/expect, means lost revenue is low or minimal, allowing us to service our hungry guests. He takes the little extra time required to make sure the resolution is satisfactory and our platforms are fully functioning.
Case in point from yesterday, he had 3 different conference calls with myself, our onboarding team and third party vendors to get integrations working at our 8th location and loyalty configured correctly brand-wide.
He also shared valuable information about menu tags and why they are important for sales growth in the digital age.

Do Not Care About Their Customers
After using Lunchbox Essentials for the past two years and being mostly happy with the service (despite constant issues with order notifications not being sent) - Lunchbox unceremoniously pulled the plug on their Essentials product THE SAME DAY as notifying their users. No warning, no time to look for alternatives, not even an offer to upgrade to their Enterprise product. Our store page went dead in the middle of the week and we had to rush to set up a replacement. HUGE red flag, do not do business with this company!
The Worse mobile app developer for businesses
I would give zero stars if I could. If you are thinking about using Lunchbox for mobile app development for your business let me save you the hassle and the time. Don’t do it! Research and look elsewhere. We started with them almost 2 years ago for our business and it has been nothing but technical issues and difficulties since the inception of our start with Lunchbox technologies or lack their of. Number one half of the features they initially sold us were not available upon inception, like SMS notifications, and various customer loyalty features, and they are huge on over promising and underperforming. They have gone through various staff transitions so we constantly had to start over for ground zero with new account representatives which should have been the first red flag that they have a very high internal staff turnover rate and they can’t seem to keep employees, but once again we just considered that an industry trend and over looked it. After 2 years of frustration and numerous documented complaints with their services we requested to cancel services since they can’t seem to get their products right and they decided to auto renew our contract for another year even though we are extremely dissatisfied with their services and hit us with a huge fine to cancel. Please business owners beware this company is about a money grab and they will try to lock you in, take your money over promise and under deliver and it will cause you more time and hassle than add value. Unless you plan to hire a dedicated lunchbox technical support person to work daily on their issues (like we essentially had to do which cost us even more time and money) don’t waste your time seek out another mobile app company.
