Just got back from Sierra Leone and Liberia. Couldn’t fault the trip in any way. What an adventure with lots of surprises along the way. The guides are very knowledgable and I learnt a lot. Already looking at my next tour with Lupine.

I have travelled with Lupine a number of times over the last few years to Somaliland, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone Liberia Cote d'Ivoire and Iraqi Kurdistan to name a few. This unique company is the best around, from booking my trips to returning home, they are so very professional. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone in the office is so accommodating. The trips are always exciting and the Lupine tour leaders and local guides have always been amazing. These trips are also great value for money. I àm still not travelling as yet but can't wait to get back on the road. I have so many wonderful memories of the people I travelled with and the fab times we had. Thanks Lupine and all of your staff....see you soon.

Lupine are such a gem of a company. I've travelled with them a few times now, and they specialise in more 'off the beaten track' destinations - my recent trip was to Kurdish Iraq. They research their destinations thoroughly, their tour leaders respect the experience of their travellers, and they give you an experience that you're unlikely to get with any other travel company out there. Their prices are really reasonable too - I can't recommend them enough.

This was my first trip with Lupine - to Moldova and Transnistria. The first thing to say is that our guide, Nick ter Horst, was the best. He had the perfect combination of calmness, responsibility, a great sense humour and an appetite for adventure. He was the key to the success of the trip. We were also lucky with our group - a mixture of all sorts of people from all sorts of places; people that you would not meet in everyday life. You need to be prepared to rough it at times, but this is the whole point of these trips. If you are a health and safety fanatic then it may not be for you; one local guide told us: "Take care. If you fall, it's your fault". If you find this attitude refreshing and liberating then take the trip and your reward will be seeing people, places and incidents that very few people do. It was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend it.

Lupine runs a highly professional organization. During all the trip his attention to detail and his consideration for his clients is superb. Excellent.
I had the most remarkable tour with Nick. Not only everything was perfect, but I felt, in every instance, that he truly cared about us, and did his best to make this trip memorable.

I had a great time on this one week trip to Lebanon, my first trip with Lupine. I can report they are just as attentive as the big tour companies. The main difference being the lower price, the more edgy locations, and the clientele, who were all like-minded experienced travellers. I wondered beforehand if there would be sufficient things to do or if all activities were extra, but no, it was packed and inexpensive - I spent only $200 total while here, and several times had the most expensive food on the menu! Ramadan had little effect on our itinerary. Our local guide was really excellent: approachable, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about the history of her country. I will definitely travel with them again

Fantastic impromptu trip - local contacts were on point and the when trip was flawless. Highly recommend this tour and likely any similar style trips. An experience well above what I expected.
Booking process was too easy including visa and covid info.

I traveled with Lupine Travel to Algeria in February 2022, I couldn’t recommend them enough, the tour was great, both the local guides and the Lupine tour leader were all great, an amazing insight into a country that’s largely undiscovered by tourists from across the world, despite holding the title and rights of being the largest country in Africa !

I recently travelled through South and North Pakistan with Lupine Travel and have to say everything about this trip was superb. The tour was planned and executed seamlessly by the wonderful and attentive guides (local and Nick the lupine guide) who made the trip a truly memorable one. Pakistan is magical in everyway. The diversity of the South and North offer something for everyone. I cannot recommend this company / trip enough.

Lupine put together an excellent tour of northern Pakistan! The tour was well planned out, the sites were better than expected, tour leader was great! I could not have done the tour by myself it would have been very daunting without Lupine. I will use again in the future no doubt!

I had never been on a Lupine tour before but I had been put in touch with people who had. Their recommendations encouraged me to book the tour to Iraq and I was hugely impressed with the whole process- from initial inquiries, booking, choice of destinations, guides, hotels and pricing. The lot !
I would definitely recommend them.

Tour of Iraqi Kurdistan was my 3rd trip with Lupine Travel. It was a fantastic tour, like the 2 before. The cities, the nature, the people were all amazing, and exceeded my expectations. What really made the tour work were our amazing guides. Both the Lupine guide and the local one were great throughout the tour. Knowledgeable, very well organized, funny, and inclusive, they really made the trip a memorable one.

Iraqi Kurdistan was my 4th trip with Lupine Travel and up to their usual excellent standards of delivering standout trips to difficult locations at decent price. I've travelled all over the world solo, so it takes something special to entice me to do a group tour, Lupine has that something special. Their local guide Sardar is one of the best I've run across and goes above and beyond to ensure the success of the tour.
Iraqi Kurdistan was a delightful surprise, the only thing 'dangerous' about it is the word Iraq in its name. Its a beautiful place with the most kind and welcoming people you could imagine. Vegetarians and vegans will find it a bit of a challenge to get much variety to eat. For the meat eaters the steady diet of kebab will keep you well fed.

Traveling to Iran with Lupine was absolutely amazing.
I simply cannot imagine traveling with any other company.

Pakistan was never high on my list of countries to visit but my plans changed so there I was. No regrets--good trip. My 3rd Lupine trip was as well organised as the previous ones. Nick is the best guide possible for Lupine trips--easy going, super friendly, yet he keeps on top of everything very efficiently. He always asks how the vegetarian food is--was quite tasty although I sorely missed any type of salad (but it seems Pakistanis don't do salad as Indians don't). We lucked out on accommodation the first 2 nights with an upgrade to the Ramada (pool and fantastic buffet breakfast) but the other hotels were sufficient and what I expect on a Lupine tour. We were there during Ramadan so didn't have restaurant lunches which actually saved us lots of time to see additional (not on original plan) sites so I would suggest that lunches be skipped on future tours as those additional sites were worth visiting. Sadly, the only option for lunch was convenience stores (ate the food on the bus) which meant chips and soft drinks--but it was suggested that we bring snacks for lunch which I did so I never had to resort to junk food. Peter, our local guide, was very knowledgeable and was able to make whatever arrangements we needed. The sites were all interesting although it was a lot of mosques, shrines and bazaars but I really loved exploring the 2 huge forts we visited. Sadly, the weather was unusually hot so people tended to lose their enthusiasm as the temperature rose--but they were always given the choice of staying in the a/c bus or returning to the hotel. One thing that was both fun and frustrating was the tight security--literally not allowed to leave the hotel grounds or the group during most of the tour--but OK to explore on our own in Lahore and Islamabad--not sure the logic of that but it was imposed on us by the government so we didn't have a choice about being escorted by 4 armed security guards (very friendly!) for most of the tour!

Lupine is that kind of company where you just cannot go wrong. I have a 100% trust in the company, they seem to always do the right thing.

I had a lovely time - everything was well organised, both guides (local and the lupine one (our queen ;)) took really good care of us, were considerate regarding the groups' different wishes and made us feel safe.
We saw quite a bit of Syria which was really nice.
The group itself was also great fun, just an overall excellent travel experience which I cannot recommend highly enough. Wasn't my first rodeo with Lupine and was also definitely not my last.

We had a great trip to Syria with Lupine. Everything ran smoothly, there was so much interesting stuff packed into the itinerary, and the group was a lovely mix of people. Highly recommended.

I travelled with Lupine to Socotra. It was one of the best trips I've ever been on. The island itself was absolutely incredible, with a huge range of unique experiences.
The tour was led very well, and our Lupine tour leader was instrumental in helping us make the most of our time there, whilst ensuring everyone's priorities were accounted for.
The local guides were brilliant, and went above and beyond in making the experience unforgettable.

Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Socotra.

- itinerary is great. Local guides are wonderful.

- Lupin does not have up to date and accurate info. Did not need to buy abaya for Aden, wasted $19 and space in luggage. PCR test in Aden was not needed to get into Egypt. Another wasted $40.
- Since our tour leader is only a part time guide and has never been to Socotra, she was not able to inform us ahead of time on what to expect. She also spent all her time with the young men and did not pay adequate attention to us older folks.
