Absolutely stunning house with fabulous facilities. We stayed here in February for a 40th birthday celebrations weekend - the house was immaculate and beautifully designed. The facilities including hot tub, heated swimming pool, sauna, fire pit and adjacent lake make it a very special place.
A beautiful house in a glorious setting that met and exceeded our expectations. It is part of the Avington Estate, which was not clear when we made the booking. As we were there for 10 days, which seems to be longer than most stays in this property, it seems that the estate didn't think of the requirements of a longer stay. It would have been helpful to be provided with more provisions like loo roll, tea towels etc, and to be offered an option of mid-stay cleaning and linen change. Though I must say that the estate team were very responsive when we asked for things. A few small points' why is the kitchen full of pans that don't work on the induction hob? the house book could have been more specific about how to operate lights, curtains, blinds and windows. And it would have been helpful to know the location of the two fuse boards. We had a nighttime power cut and only found one board. The on site maintenance man solved it quickly the next morning. These are only minor niggles for feedback, and in no way detract from our wonderful stay in this fantastic house. Thank you to all concerned.
