The Byrne or poachers cottage was really lovely, with everything you could wish for, including our own pool. It was immaculately clean and furnished beautifully and very well equipped. We only had one problem and that was with the availability of EV chargers, we had two in the car park adjacent to the property, but neither worked, so the only one working was at the front gate, which although it was a lovely autumnal walk was some distance from the property. Emma and her colleague though did their best to assist us with this and we were very grateful for their assistance and friendliness.

This was our second stay at the Byre, love the location and accommodation but there needed to be more attention to detail this time. There were a few cobwebs and dead flys on the window sills, the oven had a pan in full of dripping/ oil left from the previous people so not checked by housekeeping. Also the pizza plate was covered in black soot. Pooh dog bin was overflowing from the previous people so had to ask for that to be emptied. Also the curtains in most rooms are literally hanging from a thread. Just small thing but add up to just things for the price of the stay that shouldn’t be an issue.
