Just pretty awful.

I rented with this agency for a few years and they are shameful in how they operate. The other tenants are great, but the management of this place is just atrocious.

We had a leak in the property which went unfixed for a large portion of time - phone calls went ignored and emails not responded to.

It would be great if the money was used to improve training or provide a good service to tenants, but this is far from reality. You have to fill out several forms, attach photos, and write detailed plans for how to fix/address simple housing issues. It took 2 months, 4 visits from a contractor, and 6-7 emails for a leak to be repaired.

I would think there would be some loyalty to tenants who have used their services for 3-4 years such as myself, but this would appear to be incredibly misplaced.

If you are looking for a tenancy I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. The marketing is great, but what lies beneath is far from it. Please do not support businesses built in this manner, you will truly regret it. The sickly sweet customer service is great if backed up with action, but the sheer incompetence and bureaucratic approach to fixing simple issues doesn’t make up for it.

I would rather have a root canal with no anaesthetic than have another phone call with these people. Please avoid or you will regret it.

Great experience renting in London

My experience with lyvly has been by far the best experience I've had in my time renting in London. They take care of everything so that you don't have to worry about. They are responsive to any problems you may have and look to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I'm gutted I have to leave due to unforseen circumstances but if I decide to return London to rent I will definitely be looking at what lyvly have available before anything else.

Accommodation is done up super nice, cleaned to a high standard and always ample supply. You can't go wrong. Lyvly could organize more activities with other households, that's my one recommendation

Really bad experience since I moved in

Really bad experience since I moved in. The neighbourhood is horrible and unsafe. In summer, the house is unlivable due to outside temperatures and noise. Prices of rooms in the same flat really unbalanced. There was a mistake in room allocation and inflexible staff.
I would not recommend livly to anyone and hope to leave as soon as possible.

Allowing or Encouraging Harassments as long as money comes in

I rented the flat 1, 1 Mina road from 02/2022 - 02/2023. The house is maintained very well. However, my experience with Lyvly was truly disappointment to say the least.
They have failed to live up to their advertised promise of a social and fun living environment.
What is even more concerning is that they allowed an anti-social person to remain in their community for over three years, despite being aware of the harassment she was inflicting upon all the tenants she used to live. It is unacceptable that Lyvly turned a blind eye to the repeated complaints of their tenants and failed to take any action to remedy the situation.
Furthermore, when I brought up the previous tenant's complaints, Lyvly simply brushed it off and claimed to have no record of such a pattern. This kind of disregard for tenants' well-being and safety is extremely concerning and unprofessional.
I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from this agency to steer clear. Their lack of action and concern for their tenants is not worth the risk. I hope that this review will help other potential renters avoid the same negative experience that I had to endure.

I felt helpless as I received no support when they call the Flatmate difficult and weird. As the flatmate had a history of being controlling and demanding, making it difficult for me to feel comfortable in my own home. It was an extremely stressful time which I later diagnosed with high-functioning anxiety, living in this challenging situation after navigating it all by myself over a year.

Despite raising my concerns with the Lyvly staff member, it is disappointing to hear that she did not follow through on her promise to speak with the flatmate about her behaviour. This lack of action only served to exacerbate the issue and make me feel even more helpless.
It is concerning to hear that Lyvly seems to continuously find another victim after the other, rather than taking any meaningful action to address the issues at hand. As a rental agency, they have a responsibility to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for all their tenants. It is disappointing that they failed to live up to this responsibility in my case.
Overall, I would not recommend renting from Lyvly, as it appears that they do not take the concerns and well-being of their tenants seriously. If you are someone who values a supportive living environment, it is best to look elsewhere for your rental needs.

Best housing sharing experience!

The best housing sharing experience in London by a mile! After living there a year it was hard for me to leave. Ellie goes above and beyond to help if there are any issues in the house or you need to talk to about anything. Very lucky to have her at Lyvly! You’ll meet great people and the houses Lyvly own are very homely. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend

I’ve just moved out after being with Lyvly for a year and would really recommend them to anyone looking for a home with great people, beautiful finishings and a team that are always happy to help.

The home itself was amazing and if there ever was anything that needed fixing or issues that arose. Lyvly was always amazing at organising workmen and being very communicative with the house.

Only reason I am leaving is due to relocating to an area where there aren’t any Lyvly properties available.

The best letting agent in London

I have lived in a number of properties managed by different letting agents across London over the past 5 years and let me tell you none come close to Lyvly. The difference is like night and day.

Ellie and Flora really were a delight to deal with - very quick to rectify any issues, personable, and going the extra mile when trying to accommodate any requests.

They and the team behind them have restored my faith in letting agents. If I was staying in a shared house I would only ever choose Lyvly. 10/10 experience.

I had a fantastic experience with Lyvly!

I had a fantastic experience with Lyvly - notably with Flora! She was fantastic at talking me through all the proceedings and introduced me to my new housemates. I felt safe and secure throughout the entire process and felt that Lyvly truly wanted to make my experience renting through them only positive and reassuring! Would highly recommend Lyvly!

Lyvly

Although sadly Lyvly no longer manage my property they have been wonderful landlords. Very attentive, very quick to rectify any issues that may arise. The community aspect was also very novel and very good until the pandemic took it's toll which was out of anyones hands. I would recommend.

The best company I have ever rented from

All too often we complain, but I feel I need to review. I am sadly no longer a Lyvly member due to their recent reduction in properties following problems due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, we were one of the houses that Lyvly had to let go of in April and I have to be honest, we were all truly devastated.

I am a Doctor, who has lived in house rentals for a number of years. I have never in my history of renting, come across as company as good as yours. The properties are beautiful, the service outstanding and for once, I truly felt cared about as a tenant.

For over a year I have worked tirelessly on covid wards. During the second wave I was fortunate to live in a Lyvly home and it was a truly special place to return home to after a long day on the wards.
Whilst working in the NHS has been challenging, I am grateful to have a job and constant employment.

We are now with London Shared; many people told me “ they are the same as Lyvly.” I can assure you, they are not the same and Lyvly is in a different league all together.

I wanted to write this to say that I hope Lyvly can spring back after this pandemic. The company, the concept and what they provide is truly special. I won’t hesitate to recommend Lyvly to all friends and colleagues in the future and there’s a strong chance I’ll rent with them again; I would return to them tomorrow if I could.

Many companies have been affected by the pandemic and Lyvly is no different - but honestly ,they were the best rental agency I have ever rented from in 10 years. They really really care... which is all too rare in this rental market.

Lyvly was a fine model until they hit…

Lyvly was a fine model until they hit difficulties and are now in administration. This has been a chaotic period where they have had to pass back the properties and rental contracts to landlords. As they have let go the vast majority of employees the handover has been poor with missing or inaccurate information. The surrender agreement had to be signed, something I was pushed and pushed over, that it would be “much worse” once in the administrators hands. Until signing I was not allowed to know the names of the tenants or to have any contact with them. Once signed it became apparent that many of the promises made by lyvly regarding the condition and maintenance of the flat had not been met, for which there was no recourse and I was simply told the surrender agreement was signed so that’s that.
