I’ve been coming here for just under a year and I’m extremely happy with the service. They offer the best prices in London, and you’re seen by an actual doctor, which makes you feel in safe hands. The receptionist is always warm and welcoming, and she always addresses me by my name, adding such a lovely personal touch. Highly recommend this clinic!

A few bad experiences with M1…

I’ve had a few bad experiences with M1 beauty.

First, I booked an appointment for Profhilo. Two weeks later, when reception called to confirm, they informed me that Profhilo had been out of stock for a while. If that’s the case, why is it still being advertised? There was also a promotional offer for it, but they kept insisting there wasn’t—this kind of misleading marketing is concerning.

On the day of my appointment, I got stuck in traffic due to an accident and called to say I might be five minutes late. The receptionist firmly stated that if I was more than five minutes late, they wouldn’t see me. Even the NHS allows a 5–10 minute grace period or offers a rebooking option. This was an unforeseen situation, yet they showed no flexibility or understanding.

Despite this, I decided to give M1 another chance, as I didn’t want the receptionist’s attitude to define the entire clinic. I booked a polynucleotide treatment for £59, which seemed like a good deal.

However, when I arrived, the doctor immediately started pushing a more expensive skin booster treatment, saying it would give me a better hydration. This was double the price and not what I had booked. I also asked about jaw fillers, but the doctor was dismissive, saying I would need around 4- 5ml for a defined look.

When I enquired about nose fillers for a more pointed tip, she outright discouraged it, claiming that my nose was too round and filler wouldn’t work—it would only make it look bigger. I’ve never heard this before, and I know people with similar nose shapes who have successfully had fillers. When I asked for alternatives, she bluntly suggested surgery, saying nose fillers are risky. Isn’t surgery far more invasive and dangerous, especially for someone with diabetes?

The way she spoke was unprofessional and dismissive. I asked why she was being so rude, and she simply replied, “Sorry you feel like that,” instead of addressing my concerns.

Since I had already come a long way, I decided to go ahead with the polynucleotide treatment. Reception had informed me it involved 10 injections, but the doctor said it would be 7–8 per side! So in total around 16 injections. When I pointed this out, she brushed it off, saying, “That’s just reception, not the doctor’’. The issue is that patients aren’t allowed to speak to the doctor beforehand on the phone so this kind of miscommunication causes frustration. She also emphasised how painful the procedure would be (even with numbing cream there will be stinging, pressure and pain), rather than reassuring me.

Overall, this experience was a series of misleading claims and poor communication. In an industry where transparency is critical, M1 falls short. It’s alarming that they promote prescription treatments without clearly discussing the risks and safety aspects in their marketing. M1 seriously needs to improve its integrity, transparency, and patient communication.

Very disappointed, and I strongly urge others to do thorough research before booking treatments here.

Wouldnt go near them or advise anyone…

Wouldnt go near them or advise anyone else too. I was hospitalised after getting cheek fillers from “Dr Matt”. Glasgow clinic. Needed 2 emergency operations and 1 reconstructive facial surgery for botched fillers. They lied about everything saying they provided the proper after care etc when in reality they ignored every point of contact I made to them. Didn’t answer emails or reply to phone messages when i was seeking emergency care. …..Steer well clear of them because it anything goes wrong your on your own and do not sign anything until you read every tiny bit of writing. I’ve been left with facial disfiguring and a massive scar on my face …. Thanks MED1
