I cannot praise Judy enough for the service she provided finding us a good deal on our mortgage. Our financial situation was not straightforward, but she found us something better than we had expected which enabled us to buy our home. She responded to queries lightning fast and often worked outside of office hours and fitted conversations in when was convenient to us. Aside from that, she gave us some sounds advice about the house buying process and recommend a really good solicitor. Top marks all round.

Poor service, many inconsistencies, lack of transparency, borderline unprofessional. They did not satisfy the basic requirement of making a simple short list of available mortgage options and offer a basic explanation of the pros and cons of each. I was offered a very bad mortgage option in the beginning. I had to look up myself and propose at least two other different options myself before we reach an optimal deal with a provider.

My advisor was friendly and seemed keen to help, but often he would not reply to my contact for more than a day. I felt he did more than usual mistakes and he did not pay attention to detail. In the end I requested for a copy of the mortgage valuation report (which I paid for £275 in advance and was carried out long before) and he was not able to obtain something as simple as that for me without an adequate explanation about why not.

Unfortunately, it had been a negative and stressful experience and, in hindsight, a bad choice of mortgage brokers. I think, in the end, I got a good mortgage deal, but only because of my own personal effort and just luck. Therefore I would NOT recommend anyone using Mortgage Advice Bureau.
