Another great experience selling an old iMac. In this case I actually received a higher amount than that originally quoted as the machine was in better condition than anticipated! I would not hesitate to use Macback again.

Simple to deal with, price paid as per offered - couldn’t ask for more! Good responsive comms too - thanks team!

Having read all the positive reviews for this company I thought I would get a quote for my iMac. This seemed competitive and would save me the trouble of selling it privately, so I arranged for a collection. As I didn't have any packaging, they have a system whereby they would send a box for me to put my computer in, reseal and use the return label inside.
I was going away for a few days so arranged collection for the next working day, Monday. However, I had an email on the Friday saying DPD would "deliver" on the Saturday to "exchange" my parcel which, it said, must be ready to exchange.
I was at home on the Saturday, as it happened, and when the courier arrived he asked for the exchange parcel so he could leave me with the empty box! I looked in the box and saw packaging but we couldn't find a return label. When I explained that I was meant to use that box for my computer, he said as he only had just over one minute per delivery he couldn't wait. I asked if he could leave the box and he said only "in exchange" for my parcel that was meant to be "ready". I explained that the original collection was booked for the Monday, so he said he'd arrange for that to happen.
I emailed MacBack about this issue on the Saturday, but heard nothing back from them on the Monday. So I phoned them and they said that it was too late for the Monday collection (not explaining why my original booking had somehow ended up on the Saturday, when I was expecting to be away anyway) and would change it for the Tuesday.
The DPD tracking said "being held at xxxx depot" and I had no time slot by 12pm as promised. So I contacted the depot, which was a call centre somewhere, and was told that it would be collected by the "end of the day", which he said was 7.30pm, even though MacBack said their couriers only work between 9am and 5pm.
I called MacBack at about 4.20pm and was on hold for 10 minutes and then cut off without having spoken to anyone. When I tried phoning again, I got the answerphone saying they were closed.
So, having lost all faith, I ended up sending them an email asking to cancel the whole thing, which they did the following day.
Having read some of the negative reviews, I saw that several people had been offered a lot less than the original online quote so I decided I would probably be better off selling my computer privately, rather than waste even more time having my computer assessed and then possibly having to have it returned for that reason.

Just don't expect to get what they quote, grade A means they want brand new...
I sold two items, the iMac I sent had a brand new and factory sealed Apple keyboard and sealed magic mouse.
It was marked down £60 for a scratch on the hinge. Not aware of it (the hinge is invisible while in use or looking from the front), but fair enough that's not 'new condition', no pics or further description to see what they're claiming though.
No additional credit for sending brand new sealed accessories.
Given they'll have opened (and therefore devalued) my new accessories to test, and appear to have damaged items while sending back in the past, safer just to accept the re-quote.
The other was marked down 20% because of a 'damaged charger'. No details or photos, but it worked fine when it was sent. Could've replaced the charger myself for less.
While their email communications are good, one of the items wasn't acknowledged as received until I chased with proof of delivery. They'd already acknowledged an item sent after that so it was obviously missed somehow.
Got the money in a couple of days after accepting the quotes to be fair.
It'd be 5 stars if:
- They provide photos of the damage they claim
- They clarify what the stages mean on their status update (does 'booked in' mean you know you have my item?)
- Not lose items
- Give credit for genuinely new accessories

Very good, efficient service. They offered the best price and money was in my account within a few days. The process was easy and my laptop collected on time and a strong box supplied to transport it. Would use again.

They made the experience very easy and the whole process was handled quickly and efficiently. I will recommend this service to all my friends!

Seamless from start to finish. You need to be realistic as to the state of the mac’s being returned. But top service and payment made very quickly. Good to see an old / semi obsolete device getting a new lease of life as parts/spares and being recycled. Highly recommend.

I graded my laptop based on the website's criteria & was quoted £144 cash... Waited in on the day I had booked my collection, only for nobody to arrive. Tried to call the customer service number (no answer - left a message), & I also e-mailed them. Got a reply the following day saying they forgot to book the collection, so had to do the same again two days later (DPD - good service & packaging). They confirmed receipt of my laptop, then following their inspection revised the quote to £10! I am willing to concede I may have misjudged the scratches, but not sure how this can be justified given I used their criteria in the first place. I have therefore asked to have it sent back, so this has all been a colossal waste of my time & needless impact on the environment ferrying this laptop backwards & forwards. Would not recommend. Feels a bit scammy.

Such a marvelous experience dealing with Macback. The whole process was so seamless, quick and convenient from beginning to end. I cannot recommend them enough. They offered the best price for my 2013 MacBook Air compared to other popular websites and even eBay. They arranged collection by courier (even providing a box with decent padding), completed testing all within a 3-day period and I received the funds by the 4th day. No cheeky downgrade of the item as other services are wont to do. Simply excellent all round!

After searching other trade in sites and even ebay/facebook marketplace listings, Macback offered the best price for my Mac (by quite a long way)
They picked it up, evaluated it and sent me the money all in under a week.
Incredible service, would highly recommend

I was about to sell my IMac through Apple when I read poor reviews about the third party company they use. After some research I came across Macback, they had good reviews and so I decided to go with them instead.
I'm soooo glad I did. They offered a better quote (which was honoured on receipt of my IMac), had great communication throughout, collected my very heavy and large IMac from my home (Apple wanted me to take it to a drop off location) and I received payment within days.
I would definitely recommend Macback and would not hesitate to use them again.

They clearly aren’t keeping their promises. I declared the item C grade and stated no mouse or keyboard which I should have received the offer what it stated, they try to make me look stupid as if I don’t know any technology. When I personally fix laptops, computers. They sent me the technical sheet that they evaluated and clearly it stated they declared that as. C grade yet they offering me less the 39£ for the item that was original price! Won’t be using them ever again. The worse company honestly can’t keep their promises. Avoid them

I strongly recommend everybody to use Macback if you want to sell your old device. This is the first time I sold a laptop and the service was more than great. They replied to all my queries and the collection and payment was done within days. I will definitely use it in the future!
