Madges hatbox is a legitimate small business. Shipping was a little slow if you're expecting Amazon speeds, but you could tell from the careful packaging and note inside that they really care about their business and your order. My hat came wrapped carefully in tissue paper with a signature sticker, as well as air bubbles to support the hat and keep its shape. Item was exactly as listed.

Madge’s takes great care researching its pieces and it is with confidence and trust that I purchase from this site. I have been a repeat customer for years. My most recent purchases, a coral necklace and star fish earrings, were exactly as described and did not disappoint!

Terrible experience especially since I dealt directly with the owner herself. Communication was very very slow and had to be prompted every time and then with inconsistent replies. My discount code off her website was not honored resulting in a much higher cost to me. Pam did not refund me the difference and wanted me to pay for the return shipping. To make matters worse, the condition of the bag was not honestly described and misleadingly the damaged areas were not photographed. Very disappointing to deal with, money-grubbing, quite dishonorable. If I could leave no stars, I would. NEVER AGAIN!!
IN RESPONSE: As I already mentioned, misleading and misrepresenting the situation. No surprise!

Wow, this is a real scorched earth review. One I have been expecting. This buyer tried to extort a cheaper price. After we agreed on a final price she tried to use a coupon. I informed her I couldn't accept a coupon and offered to cancel the sale. She still wanted to purchase and this valuable vintage Pierre Cardin handbag was sold at the agreed price. Later this buyer tried to force me to refund part of the final price. She even had the nerve to send me a PayPal invoice. This review is the first time she has indicated condition issues. I guess she really wanted to pile it on since I refused to play her game. I'm sad this beautiful museum-quality piece went to this buyer. I've been so lucky during my twelve years selling vintage. Vintage Necklace Spectacular!
Arrived nicely packaged, great communication on delivery status, the item was exactly as pictured, even more beautiful in person. Love It! Very happy with the experience. Now I have to find the perfect outfit to wear the necklace with!
