Delicious Brunch!

The food here was so good, better than expected. It didn't disappoint at all. The brunch was amazing! My favourite was the organic fried eggs with chives, hot honey chicken nugget with chili mayo and cress, avocado with chili pesto, cashews and coriander, and the chai latte. Thank you, will visit again.

Mad & Kaffe in Frederiksberg

The food was delicious and the place was cozy. Most of the personale were kind and nice except one. I asked her nicely with a smile in my face,if it was posible for her to take picture with me and my family. But guess what, she refused it. We were shocked. ;-) Yes, They seemed very busy but it would take seconds to take picture. I’ve been to many restaurants but for the first time in my life, i experienced it. I think it’s not okay at all… She made our day bad, That i even told myself to write a review about it, when i get home.

Unexperienced personal?! If only :(

I and my pregnant girlfriend have visited this place, which looks like a very cozy place from the outside, last Sunday - 3/4/2022. The restaurant was maybe 75% full, with few free tables. No signs of "wait to be seated", so we naturally pick the best spot we found. Personal was 3-4 young girls, maybe between 18-24. Their attitude was even worse than their inexperience. And man, they were very inexperienced. Not a single friendly sentence or smile. First, we got bashed for sitting at the spot, they called: "this is for three people, you cannot sit here." My girlfriend is in 7th month, but ok we are 2 paying customers, so we moved to the table, which was poorly wiped. Then we were waiting and waiting and waiting... So I went to the bar/cashier corner of the restaurant.
Me: May I ask you for a menu?
Girl at the cashier (still nobody gives us a single smile or friendly look at least): Where do you sit?
Me: Hmmm, up there in the corner, at the wall.
She: I mean, what is the number of your table?
Me: I don't know, it is in the corner right there.
She: You have a wooden cube on the table, there is your number.
Me: (in my head - I worked as a waiter before, in places like Brasserie in hotel Nimb in Tivoli gardens, in the restaurant in hotel Plaza and a few more. Everywhere, it was the other way around. I as a waiter, had an overview and knew the numbers of our tables, not asking guests for those numbers. This is for me a clear sign of lack of understanding, what customer service is, but ok, I can live with that).
So I got back to the table, silly enough, the cube was not on the table. So I returned to ask for the menus again, where I got unfriendly look, like I am unpleasant guest making troubles. Thats how I felt.
We chose items from the menus. It took them another long while to take our order and ONLY after I requested their attention, when passing by cleaning tables after guests that left, instead of attending the guests, that are there and waiting to be served. This is another sign of lack of understanding of their priorities. First, they must take care of orders and service for guests and not cleaning tables. But again, whatever, young personal, who knows how well paid and trained.
But then happened something I couldnt take anymore:
At that time, another couple - 2 young ladies came in and they naturally, sat at the spot we chose, when we entered. Waitress came to them and it shocked me like a slap to the face, they could remain there, despite, that there were 2 (1 clean, 1 unclean) tables for 2 still left. I asked the waitress right away: Excuse me, you had sent us away from that table with argument, this is table for 3 people. And now, right infront of us, you accept another 2 people to stay there, while the situation is the same - you have tables for 2 still available?!? How should we feel about that? Her asnwer was: I dont want to argue with you and she left. At that time we had only drinks in front of us, so I went to the cashier and told them we are leaving, cancel the food order and willing to pay for the drinks already delivered, even untouched, but let´s stay civil, right? She gave me a gaze like a gorgon and said: You ordered food too, so your bill is... At that point I sank my voice, not raised and said:
I pay for the drinks, then I leave, then I find you on the trust pilot and I make sure, that I share with everyone who cares for the reviews and reputation of the places they visit, because this is very bad experience from my perspective, which I dont want to anybody go through. I am not mad, this is not personal to you young lady, but to your whole team on the floor this morning, is nothing but lack of hospitality, serviceminded attitude, proffesionality and most important, I felt bad vibes throughout my whole body. We came here to relax, have a nice brunch, we have a baby on the way, we seek nothing but good interaction, nice food and cozy time. I dont blame you, but I also wouldnt sit quiet and accept horrible service. I hope, you can use this as a constructive critic to perhaps help you deliver better service to your future guests, because we are not coming back and I will tell everyone I know to not visit your place. There are many nice caffes and restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The last thing: We went afterwards to the place called Wulff & Konstali Food Shop
Simple advice, go and have a look, maybe order brunch there and get inspired how to do it right.
