2 of our family fell sick after having the food here. I wouldn’t recommend. They are clearly serving food made long ago. Spoilt an entire week for us

I've been going to this place for many years. Used to love it. Great taste. Quick service and good value for money. However, my last visit was rather disappointing. The food was very average. Totally missed the mark on flavours (ordered the fusion masala dosa as always). Service slow (12pm). Waiting around the counter to even place an order. Customer service (politeness, smile, etc) evaporated.
I've been consistently going to the same place and avoiding the newer south indian restaurants that have opened. Will have to re-think that.
Pricey
I have been to this place ( Dartford branch) so many times since they’ve opened .
I have tried almost everything in their menu . I have had their breakfast buffet over the weekends too .
What I have found is quality of breakfast buffet has deteriorated massively.
Everything in their menu is very pricey , some of the items are a big time rip off .
Very recently I have had plain parathas which were not in the menu , so I was not aware of the price .
I was absolutely shell shocked to see the price of those little plain parathas , they’ve charged me £2.99 for each paratha .
Also the Indian cuisine is all about generosity of the portion .
Their portion size is too small in comparison to their price and their competitors.
Their sweets are too expensive than that of the leading sweet shops .
Me and my family have decided not to go there any more which is a real shame as the restaurant is very local to me and the staffs are wonderful but it’s way too pricey .
Wonderful vegetarian gem in Crayford
Fantastic food, I love the malasa dosa! Great lunchtime deal where you spin the wheel for a discount, always have friendly and welcoming staff. Just a solid choice for lunch, me and my partner go here often 😁

The pricing is excessive and not justified. £20 per kg for Diwali sweets is a major rip-off. The quality of the sweets is highly overrated and doesn't warrant the cost. I won't be returning
Rip-off prices
The restaurant was clearly exploiting people with rip-off prices. Just a month ago, the sweets were £14 per kg, but right before the Diwali festival, they suddenly raised the price to £20 per kg. It’s disappointing to see them take advantage of the occasion and their customers like this. Such practices feel like a scam.

We have been regular to Madras Flavours since it started, and for the first time, we were disappointed 😔 with the pathetic service. They were too quick with the South Indian dishes, but unfortunately, we had ordered North Indian (paneer tikka and 2 naan) and Parota kurma. Both arrived half n hour late. I was only served 1 naan, they said another is coming soon. 2nd arrived after another half an hour. The staff was too rude to answer and, while laughing, said 2 minutes. Another employee said I don't know why the order is late; only the kitchen staff knows. I complained to the manager, and then Naan arrived. Today felt like not going again. The new staff are not trained well. Can't see the old manager and staff, they were very good.
Disappointed so much. It's the only restaurant where we enjoy food with love and a warm welcome. Not anymore.
The food was average - salty Rava dosa and ice cold filter coffee at reading
The food was average. The Rava dosa we ordered was excessively salty, and I had to leave most of it uneaten. We informed the waiter, who said he would notify the chef. Additionally, the filter coffee was served ice cold. Despite the issue with the dosa, it was included in the bill. While we weren’t expecting a price waiver, a gesture of goodwill, such as a discount on the next bill or even a simple apology, would have been appreciated. The customer service was extremely disappointing.

Annoying bunch of kids with careless parents and unacceptable service
I visited with my friend and her daughter approximately between 8.30 pm to 10.00 pm to Madras flavours on the High Street of Hounslow where we had ordered 4 dishes, 3 Naans, Fanta, Tea and mineral water. Where they served tea first, dishes and after 20 minutes naans. We had found used spoons on the table which we highlighted to the staff who didn’t really care. After asking at least 3 times they served Fanta. Also, it was extremely noisy atmosphere due to unruly, screaming bunch of kids who were in attendance with their parents who didn’t care how their unruly, screaming kids were affecting others. I mentioned this issue when I went to pay the bill. The cashier mentioned that these noisy and unruly group of children and their parents visits almost every week. I would definitely recommend to everyone not to visit when these annoying, noisy group is in as they are very careless, selfish group of people and bunch of annoying screaming monsters don’t seem to care about other visitors and the way they behaved that they are the only people in the restaurant. Disgusting 🤮
They must be smoking something to think this is okay
This company thinks it’s okay to park their van and block a whole block of 22 flats so no resident could get in or out of the carpark. The car park was empty with many spaces. So it’s beyond me why they didn’t park in a space instead. The driver clearly must be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or just not right in his mind to think this is okay. FYI I have reported it to the police. If I had a clamp I would clamp all 4 of the tyres.
Please don’t serve any paneer curry.
Please don’t serve any paneer curry.
I can’t even think of giving ratings for Paneer
Very very very worst experience
Very very very worst experience. Their price is extremely high. Quality is very low. When I bought take away few times, everytime something was missing or potato masala used to smell expired or very soggy vadas. When I bought more than 50 pounds worth of food and asked for extra ratha they are charging 2.25 pounds extra. Is this not Broad day light cheating?
Catering for our daughter's wedding events
Madras Flavours did the catering for our daughter wedding. The catered for 3 days event and every day was made so special with delicious varity of food. The staff were also very professional and caring.
Whenever we get the opportunity to eat out in Reading - Madras Flavours is always our first choice.
Thank to the whole team and in particular to Mubarak.

Excellent breakfast buffet
Food quality and service
Ambience : Good
Food quality and service : poor , I ordered a dosa , when I lift that dosa to eat, it is already broken into many pieces.
Then we ordered rice , we were almost leaving the place to eat at some other place , then it arrived
We ordered something but what arrived is partial till we complained
