Scandinavian Pine Bunk

We ordered the Scandinavian Pine bunk but we asked if we could customise it to have the plywood ladder (as the ladder was more suitable for our young children), which Vlad and Ana were more than happy to do so. They arrived the week that we were promised they would be dispatched. Vlad was happy to speak on the phone with hubby and talk him through any concerns we had while setting up the bunks. The contrast between the two different types of wood is very minimal and blends well. Our children love their new beds and the high safety rail makes us feel confident with our restless sleepers. The added drawers underneath are an extra bonus in a small room storage is a must.
Overall we are all very pleased with the product and service Magic of Wood provided.

I bought a bunk bed from Magic of Wood…

I bought a bunk bed from Magic of Wood for my grandchildren and a bedroom set for myself. I am very happy with everything. The kids love their bed — it has one single bed on top and a pull-out single bed underneath.
I am also so happy with my bedroom set. The design is absolutely beautiful. My bedside tables and tallboy are amazing, and I love the natural colours.

Missing instructions, no labelling, holes unmarked - do not recommend

Missing instructions, extremely poor communication, failure to provide itemise parts, instructions poor (not detailed). I opened three boxes for a low loft bed for my daughter. No instructions no items labelled. Constant emailing and threatening legal action eventually they sent list of items and instructions. Instructions are not detailed, fail to identify parts of wood in steps, steps are skipped or blended together. Few parts predrilled requiring constant measuring and remeasuring, marking, pre drilling (instructions say you don’t need to buy wood cracks if you don’t). Quality not worth the $1800 plus shipping. It looks good but concerned it will break and not hold my daughter as she grows. Weight limit says 200kg but this is beyond unlikely it creaks with 60kg (my weight). Extremely unhappy took 6hrs to put together should have been a 1hr job.

Terrible communication

Terrible communication. Same as bellow really, phone number doesn’t work, left numerous messages, even tried contacting on instagram and Facebook to no reply.
Kept giving us new dates of arrival. I understand that things happen but atleast have the decency to communicate effectively with clients paying $3k for the products.
Product finally arrived and the measurements are off and there’s parts missing. So we have had to fix it ourselves.
At this point it would have been faster and more efficient to just build the entire thing ourselves.

terrible customer service

I have had a similar experience to the customer below. Communication was absolutely terrible, taking days at a time and not providing clear answers, and timelines weren’t communicated properly. A friend of mine swears by the product - which we are yet to put together (you need your own electric drill btw, which we don’t have) - but going by the communication and customer service alone, I would not recommend this company.

Disappointing Experience and Poor Communication

My experience with this company became unnecessarily stressful after the expected delivery date passed without any update. I had emailed in the months leading up to my son’s birthday to confirm delivery costs and timelines to make sure the bunk would arrive on time and the response time from them was on the same day. When I purchased the bed on the 20th of November, the automated email stated the current wait time was two weeks.

As the birthday approached and I still hadn’t received any information, I called on Thursday, December 4th, for an update. I was told via text that dispatch information would be sent the following day, Friday the 5th. It is now the day of my son’s birthday Monday 8th Dec, and after emailing and texting again, I still have no response. So I have no idea of when it will be delivered or if I have been scammed.

The communication from this company is terrible, and there is absolutely no transparency around the actual delivery time frame. Some honesty would go a long way—customers deserve peace of mind when they are spending a significant amount of money, especially in the current economy.

I had planned to purchase another bunk for my other son next year, but after this experience, I think I’m better off going to Urban Sales. You might be making handmade bunks, but that doesn’t mean much when the customer experience is this poor.

If you do purchase from here expect a lack of communication and purchase at least 2 months in order for the bed to arrive on time.
