3 weeks and waiting for overnight parcel

Parcel sent by overnight courier 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting. Was given a tracking number they allocated on day one but no further tracking possible. After 4 phone calls the best they can offer is for me to wait as they claim it will be delivered. It has reached the stage I would rather have my refund and shop elsewhere. All in all a disappointing experience

My experience with magnamail is this

My experience with magnamail is this. I got sent numerous "you are a winner, just fill out the order form" type communications. Anyway I saw some things that I wanted so ordered. Then I kept getting emails saying my credit card was rejected due to insufficient funds which was a load of rubbish. I rang up customer support and got the Philippines and they said I needed to contact my bank which I did and they said there was no issue and that nothing had come through from magnamail at all. So I went back to customer support and they tried to process the payment again, and got the same response. I contacted the bank and they said there was no block on payments to this company, so tried again. No luck. Waited a couple of weeks. Heard nothing from magnamail even though my order was sitting there suspended. Rang customer support again but early in the day, and got an Australian women who sighed and said she would get it sorted and it did indeed get sorted. The products arrived in reasonable time and the quality is as expected. Dont know about this draw thing, and suspect I was left out of any such thing and I expect their response to that would be to blame me for my credit card issues, of which there were none.

Magnamail flirts with the term "Scam"

This company flirts with the term "Scam" with everything it does and sells. Anything you can buy from this company you can buy from the 2 dollar shops. They actually make a lot of their money from the P&H and insurance... by the way, they don't bother buying insurance for your item. They will replace it. They ship out about 3,500 orders per day so have some good rates with AU post. There is nothing about this company I would call honest, except they do actually employ people in their call centre and warehouse, but all product is cheap as Chinese crap can be. Don't be fooled by the words in the marketing or about being able to return your $6 product, that cost you $18 by the time PH&I is added. It will cost you a further $15 to send it back to get your $6 refunded. They know this, this is the basis of their marketing. Never mind the prizes (which is regulated) worded to make you think you have won... You are just one of the Millions of Aussies and New Zealanders they have on their database. They call us gullible I'm sure.

This site is a scam

This site is a scam, they take your money and send you a prise that is nothing but rubbish and the products you buy don't work or full apart. Buyer beware.

Magnamail isn't really a scam and has some good products.

Magnamail does have some products that work very well. I have found them to be reliable but it is important to understand that the 'you have won' spiel is marketing. They don't say you are the winner of a decent prize by the way - so you might receive a piece of junk jewellery or the equivalent with your order for your trouble of returning the special number they assign to you.
It is much like what Readers Digest do.
They are not actually a scam company - just exaggerating how likely their customers are likely to win anything useful in the equivalent of the 'lottery tickets' or 'raffle' they tell you that you will be entered into.
You have to read the fine print well to see that this is just a marketing ploy. But - there are the occasional things that are worth purchasing and you will get those that you order or your money will be refunded. Cheers.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Not very willing to help. Their website doesn't state clearly about order amendment or possible cancellation process. Even it is making the long processing time (21 days) almost invisible. No cooling off period either. Don't buy from them.

Magnamail's Excellent Service.....

I have been very impressed with the excellent service I have received from Magnamail. I am a person who does a lot of my shopping (clothes, gifts, appliances, kitchen goods etc,) from catalogues I receive and I must say that Magnamail has been one of the best firms I have dealt with over the years - both for quality of the goods and the reliability and quickness of the receipt of the articles or advice of unavailability of them., followed by a refund cheque if that is the case. I am very happy to recommend them to anyone who asks...........

No contact

I am still waiting for products I ordered in November. My cheque was cashed but no products arriving. Have tried to ring, the first time told my products were on there way It does not take 2-3 weeks to send from Auckland to Hokitika. Now I don't get an answer when ringing telling me I'm ringing out of the allotted time. My calls being made at 11am. I have tried to email and this doesn't work either.

I submitted my order on line and a couple of weeks later received it in the mail. All items were well packed and are proving to be as attractive and useful as advertised. The follow up letter to check if all was well was appreciated. Excellent customer service.
