Our goal was to see the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to see them 4 out of the 5 nights we had in Whitehorse!
Our first 2 nights we stayed at the Best Western which was adequate.
The highlight of our trip were the last 3 days we stayed at the Northern Lights Resort & Spa. All of the staff (Richard, Patrick, Uli, James) and the owners Tobi and Lynn were terrific! Very knowledgable about the area, history, and photographing the N. Lights.
Meals were great, the sauna - so relaxing, and nice hiking trails around the property. We stayed in the Glass Chalets (beautiful rooms with floor to ceiling windows so you can see the N.Lights from the comfort of your room).
Be sure to take their Yukon Wildlife Preserve & Hot Springs Tour ( 3 pools of different temperatures, also saunas and steam rooms).
Had one little hiccup with our Winter Gear Rental which were not at the Best Westernon our first night in Whitehorse(we stayed first 2 nights here). Miscommunication between our travel company and whoever was supposed to supply the winter gear package, I'm guessing. But Tobi and Lynn stepped up and brought their Winter Gear Kits to the hotel for us to use on our 2nd night.
All in all a great adventure!

The owners, Lin & Toby and the other staff were on the spot, knowledgeful and ready to make this a wonderful experience. They keep the group (max 16 guest) small. We had a great opportunity to connect with the other guests. Food, guest rooms,activities and service were platinum levels. I would highly recommend this resort to my friends.

This was an amazing trip for us and Magnetic North Travel was super helpful and answered all my questions. Once our trip began we always had a driver transfer on time and each activity went just as described. Sophie with magnetic North was quick to answer my emails and when I asked for more adventures she would bring me several ideas to choose from. We are a family of 8 and that can be a lot of people to make happy, but this trip was perfect and everyone made memories to last a lifetime.

Annie organized a wonderful trip for us. The lodging, activities and other recommendations were spot on! One of our activities was cancelled due to weather and she quickly rebooked us. Magnetic North provided exceptional customer service and had thorough knowledge to help us decide on the itinerary. Highly recommend this company.

Laura spoke to us to understand our needs and desires, and put together a great trip for us. She understood the style in which we wanted to stay, and found us a fantastic spot in northern Norway for our Arctic Adventure! All was amazing thank you Magnetic North!

Our Norway experience was better than we could have imagined. We chose to visit Norway as a way to complete our "bucket list" goal of experiencing the Northern Lights (Aurora). Magnetic North helped us experience not only the Aurora, but also the unique and impressive Norwegian culture and landscape. Our accommodations were exceptional in all three of the regions that we visited. We were most impressed with the Rorbu cabins in Svolvaer in the Lofoten islands. The authentic red cabin right on the water was charming and peaceful; a perfect blend of historic and modern. All of our transportation was pre-planned, safe, and dependable. We asked Annie at Magnetic North to make dinner reservations for us in each region that we visited. She made excellent recommendations and the restaurants were welcoming with delicious dining options. The Magnetic North travel app is one of the best that I've ever seen. Comprehensive with detailed, daily itineraries, weather, travel documents, maps, and more. The Magnetic North team was responsive to all of our communications and highly accommodating. Norway is a beautiful country full of friendly and adventurous people! Additional highlights of the trip include dog sledding in the beautiful Reisa National Park, sea kayaking through the fjords of Lofoten Islands, the Arctic Panorama Lodge on Uloya Island (which hosts royalty apparently!), an overnight cruise through the Arctic Circle, and of course the Aurora lights. All of this was expertly prepared by the Magnetic North team. We could not be happier with this trip!

This was the second time we have used Magnetic North and they did not disappoint. From start to finish, Annie was really helpful, listened to and understood our requirements and tailored a wonderful holiday for us. The app updates are brilliant, both before holiday and for flights etc during holiday. If you are thinking of visiting the arctic circle, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you!

From my first contact with Magnetic North to my departure from Sweden, everything was perfect. Alex was incredibly patient and helped me find a trip suited to my requirements. Once there, the hotel and trips were all excellent. I would happily recommend this company to anyone, and I hope to travel with them again myself.

Thanks for making my trip the most memorable one in my life, I felt like a princess! Everything was done excellent, with all perfectly booked with the transfers and the accommodation that was stunning, I really enjoyed the trip. Yasmin was always pending of my needs and she did a great job booking the activities that make me feel in a fairy tale adventure!

Magnetic North Travel immediately understood what I wanted and proposed the perfect ice skating trip at short notice, taking away the hassle of putting things together myself. They were super available and responsive, especially when I had to adapt my plans following the disruption caused by storm Eowyn. I highly recommend them for an unforgettable experience!

This is the third time I went on a trip organized by Magnetic North Travel. I enjoy booking trips with them because everything always works smoothly, they reply quickly, and the trips are always fun and memorable. This time was no different, we booked a trip to the Swedish lapland with friends, and we ended up going to Grano Beckasin. We were offered this proposal which was right within our budget, and the trip was filled with adventures, kind people at the hotel, and delicious food. We went snowmobiling, ice fishing, husky sledding, and we even saw the northern lights. We loved the treehouse cabins and the delicious food at the hotel. Our exchanges with the locals were interesting, as we learned more about the local culture. It was another trip where Magnetic North went above and beyond, because they offered us a unique experience where we have memories that will last us a lifetime.

Oh my goodness, where to begin?! Yasmin and Magnetic North made everything about our Christmas trip to Norway easy and wonderful! From our first conversation when I told her what we were looking for, she had suggestions and a plan was coming together. She suggested a city in Norway that I had never thought of and it was magical.

Magnetic North/Yasmin planned a cable car ride to the top of the mountain, a northern lights safari, dog sledding, and a reindeer experience. Every activity was thoughtfully planned and an incredible experience for three generations that were on this trip with us. Magnetic North also handled the hotel and airport transfers and travel to and from our daily activities. They were responsive before, during, and after our trip. When one of our activities was cancelled due to weather (while we were on vacation, over the Christmas holiday), Yasmin contacted us immediately and offered another activity to fill our day. I would use Magnetic North 100 more times and you should too.

Had an amazing 4 night trip to Arctic Sweden in early January where we did snowmobiling, husky sledding and getting to know more about the Sami indigenous community. Everything was organised perfectly and it was great knowing that everything was booked for us in advance. Must say I love the app with the itinerary, flight details, packing tips and messaging.. was so handy.

Thanks to Magnetic North we had a great Christmas trip to Norway and Finland. MN were very helpful in listening to our requirements and then tailoring a holiday to suit our needs. When we wanted to make some changes they were very receptive and worked out the new details quickly. The App MN provided with the itinerary, maps, advice, contact details etc was really helpful and a nice touch. We did have a few minor niggles here and there but these were generally resolved quickly and without any fuss. We would happily considering using MN again for future trips.

Family trip to Finland (Kilpisjarvi). Flew to Tromso (Norway) and 2 hour private minivan transfer (beautiful scenery on route plus northern lights!).

Yasmin at Magnetic North was great and understood our requirements and set up a superb itinerary for the 5 day trip. Husky sledding, northern lights hunt on skidoos (need to be 18 years old to drive one), ice fishing, fantastic skidoo expedition (to three cairns point - boarder of Norway, Sweden and Finland), and reindeer farm/experience. Every question / request / enquiry was rapidly dealt with by Yasmin or a colleague pre departure or on their own MN app or WhatsApp. Very efficient and knowledgeable.

Stayed at Hotel Cahkal a 50 bed recently built modern hotel with superb and such friendly staff, excellent food, a cosy lounge with fire place and on-site sauna. Extensive breakfast buffet but dinner there was no choice other than a meat and a vegetarian option menus. Rooms a little on the small side but v comfortable beds and nice bathroom.

With 3 out of five nights seeing the Northern Lights (which was the icing on the snow cake!) it was an amazing trip which we will remember forever. Thx Magnetic North.

I do not have the words to describe how incredible our trip to the arctic circle was. We spent two weeks traveling Finland and Sweden. Annie and I had an hour long conversation to discuss my dream vacation for my mom, brother and I, and she did amazing! The first draft of our trip was almost perfect. She was extremely helpful, communicative and just overall a joy to work with. I love Zicasso and they paired me with the perfect agent for us. She recommended one of a kind, lavish resorts/hotels to stay in within our budget. She set us up with places and activities we would have never on our own. Magnetic North also had the most incredible app that was personalized to each individual on the trip with all the specific details of the trip including daily activities & times, packing lists, travel documents and weather forecasts. Again, 10/10 agency with a 10/10 agent who planned a 10/10 trip!

Just totally fantastic in every way! Great communication, very friendly and just all round brilliant.

Cannot recommend Magnetic North enough. The trip was to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday in Finland with our grown up children and Annie put together the perfect trip. Annie listened to an outline plan and advised/suggested until we had the perfect itinerary which included numerous activities. She was always quick to respond to any questions/queries – however minor. The trip was a huge success and we were lucky enough to see the Aurora Borealis !! The app was brilliant and kept us informed of everything that we needed to know. Thankfully there were no hiccups, but I have no doubt Magnetic North would have been on hand to help.

Laura was insightful and incredibly knowledgeable when organising our holiday. She was prompt in her responses and very reassuring when providing support during our trip. The transfers were seamless and very comfortable during our journey. Highly recommend this company!

We had a family holiday of a lifetime in Iceland in July. It was a trip two years in the making and Laura patiently and expertly guided us through the whole process. We first got in contact in 2023 with a last minute request to plan a trip for our family of 4. Because the short lead time, the itinerary was dictated by hotel availabilities but still Laura managed to put together an exciting program. Due to personal reasons, we had to defer the trip to 2024 which gave us more time to plan. Laura was very accommodating and completely revamped the 2023 plan. She created a new itinerary ticking off as many items on our wish list as possible. Weather in Iceland is unpredicable, so one of our activities was affected. She communicates and makes alternative arrangements proactively. Every step of the way, she anticipated our needs, answered our many questions and guided us. She's a dream to work with.
