The on-Demand GRE coursework at Magoosh, is highly comprehensive and helpful. Unlike few other test prep companies, there are no rigid course structures, forcing the students down in a said path. Entire GRE Syllabus is split into chapters, and one can study according to one's strengths and weaknesses. However, they do have a recommended study plan, adhering to which, will be helpful and will cover the entire course. But it's not mandatory for one to stick with this. The study plan is inclusive, and takes into account, various factors like one's experience with the test, availability of time, target score, etc.,

The entire coursework is a collection of videos, and the production quality of these videos are not as good as one may expect them to be. It's definitely not as good as those in Princeton Review, Kaplan or Manhattan prep. But that's totally fine, considering the super cheap subscription cost. The Magoosh membership will always be on sale, and one can often sign up for as low as 170$. They only charge you for concepts covered, strategies, and practice tests. No need to pay extra for Ultra-high, Blu-ray, High res stunning 4K videos of equations and texts!

Magoosh Support needs a special mention. Every mail I send, will receive a proper detailed response in <24 hours. It will be so detailed, such that, one need not ask a follow-up question to the team.

They don't give 1,00,000 practice questions like Manhattan prep, but the ones they give (~1600) are perfect match for real ETS style GRE questions! It's not possible for a third party company to churn out a hundred thousand questions, with each of them resembling an actual GRE question. And if the company says that they do, then they lie in my opinion. But this one is a perfect match for the real ones! The magoosh practice problems test one's concepts more than their calculating skills. On comparing Magoosh with other GRE test prep companies, one will understand the difference between "Quantitative REASONING" vs Math!

Overall, this is good for those who are trying to steal numerous strategies, concepts and GRE like questions, at such a low price. One can even use this as a supplemental material, or an add-on resource along with regular GRE preparation. Coz it's that cheap!

Covers all the topics, and has an intuitive interface. I had a Math tutor before I tried Magoosh and I think Magoosh did a better job at explaining the lessons in the context of the GRE. Love the study guide feature, which helps organize lessons per day. The mock tests were very similar to the actual GRE. Competitive price too. Highly recommend!

I was able to achieve a great score using Magoosh test prep material and in fact increase my score by 9 points from my previous attempt !! Magoosh has everything ranging from excellent range, quality and quantity of questions, live classes on various topics every week, adaptive mock tests and prompt doubt solving. Everything required to crack the GRE.

Unfortunately I'm barely satisfied with GMAT prep by Magoosh. Some videos are poorly edited and there are long pauses in between sentences. I wasn't also a fan of the study schedule either. Sometimes it felt like it's just better to do my own thing.
I still appreciate though, the price and the efford. It's just the service can be further improved.

3. 1000 Words in Magoosh are the starting point of verbal prep! Otherwise you simply can't proceed with SE, RC & TC. So would suggest that first spend two weeks remembering all the words and another 1 week to revise them twice.
4. The video explanations are the best way to close your "approach" gap. As well as to understand subtle ways to apply efficient solving methods in quant.

After 4 months of prep with the Magoosh material, taking every lesson and answering almost every prep question, my GMAT score went DOWN by 20 points. I would have been better off just sticking with the prep books I was checking out of my local library. I feel like they wasted precious time and resulted in my not getting into the MBA program I had dreamed of. Keep clear of this program.

I used Magoosh to prep for the GMAT exam. Four years ago, right after undergrad, I took the exam cold. I got a 660. Beginning my studies again a few months ago, my practice exam score was right at 660. With Magoosh, official prep resources, and the GMATClub, I was able to score a 750!

Magoosh is awesome for getting a good feel for the exam and building the foundation for mastering the background material. Their practice questions, especially for the quant section, are pretty representative of the actual exam.

I’d encourage others to use Magoosh, and follow their study plan (which encourages you to use official prep material as well).

Magoosh lecture videos and supplementary material proved to be a game changer for my 20-day preparation schedule. I signed up for GRE-home edition right after giving my TOEFL and had only 20 days to prepare for the exam, i had been using magoosh apps that are available for free for my preparation and i loved them, then i thought of getting more out of it, so i signed up for the 30 day plan and started watching the quant section videos and practicing questions. All the videos were tremendously helpful in refreshing my concepts and teaching me new skills and i gained a lot from them. The questions are on par with the actual GRE, and i'd say they are more advanced as well, and all the explanations for all the questions taught me to attempt even the most typical questions in an quick and efficient way. Magoosh's vocabulary builder app was also of great help and the techniques explained in the videos for verbal section helped me in eliminating the wrong choices even if i didn't knew some difficult words. I bought the GRE power prep plus 2 from ets and attempted that as well, and i scored very well on it, 315, but i still felt that i should attempt one more test to ensure the correct estimation of my level of preparation, to my surprise, when i attempted the magoosh practice test, i scored much lower, 298. I knew i needed more preparation. Throughout those 20 days, i watched 193 lecture videos and attempted 1027 questions on the magoosh platform. Each day resulted in betterment of my understanding of topics and increased my chances for a better score. Although i haven't received my official scores yet, but the after exam unofficial scores reported 160 in quant section and 156 in verbal. For me these are pretty good scores. All thanks to magoosh and the super helpful and motivating team behind it's success.

Right after the pandemic, I asked and received a discount for the GRE prep program. Although I had taken the exam a few years ago, my original score for the GRE was 148 verbal, 149 quant and 4.0 writing. After studying 3 months with Magoosh, my scores were improved to 156 verbal, 158 quant and 4.0 writing. I've watched all of their videos and I completed over 1500 quant practice questions. Their questions will definitely get you prepared for the exam because GRE has been much more difficult recently. I can not recommend Magoosh enough. Forget about spending thousands of dollars with Princeton Review, which I unfortunately did. Just study tons using Magoosh and your scores will improve.

Magoosh provides you will all the tools you need to succeed on the GRE. They offer a bunch of different study plans to structure your time, and provide more than enough practice questions. Would recommend to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop for GRE studying.

I used Magoosh to prepare for my second attempt at the GRE. I had taken it once after studying with Princeton Review and was pretty disappointed with my scores (164v156m). After 4 dedicated weeks of studying with Magoosh, I raised my total score by 11 points! There are over 1000 practice questions available, each with a thorough video explanation, a separate text explanation, and links to lessons associated with each question. I found that their study plans, review materials, and fast response rate to questions submitted (not even mentioning the very reasonable price) all made their service the best available and the best way to get a high score on this exam! I would recommend it to anyone ready to put in the hours and looking for a highly competitive score.

Huge thanks to the Magoosh team for providing an excellent learning experience! Having ADHD makes revision a real struggle but I found that Magoosh's fun, engaging and easy-to-follow lessons enabled me to stay focused and motivated.

As well, the content is brilliant, covering everything you need to know, nothing more and nothing less. That being said, there are many questions labelled 'very hard' which will, if anything, over prepare you for the exam and help you to get a great score!

Fantastic education platform.
Good structure to the content and learning process.
The incremental learning process was very helpful, in setting a baseline, providing simple or low complexity quizzes with incremental complexity as learning progressed.

Fantastic short video lessons and every quiz question has a video breaking down the answer.

A brilliant app allowing mobile study, flagging quiz questions, videos, or making personal notes for review, and lots of flashcards.

Amazing study material and lesson teachings

I had a really good experience with Magoosh while studying for the GMAT. I decided very last minute to apply to B-school. As a result, I didn't have much time to prepare for the exam. I was worried that a lot of the prep material won't cater to short study times.

Magoosh had an excellent 30 day study plan that was very good at letting me know where to start. Even though I didn't finish the plan, I was able to find weak spots and improve. I ended up getting a 720 on the test (praise God! 😂)

Also, their customer service is exceptional. Initially, I had signed up for the GRE study, and decided a week later to try the GMAT. They were very quick is switching me over, making the process seamless. They also answered all questions I had via chat, even reaching out days later to follow up.

I have had a great experience prepping with Magoosh. They are by far the most cost effective option available; the value you get compared to other service is incredible. The adaptive feature really helps you get accustomed to the GREs terrible tendency to crank up the difficulty as soon as you're on a roll. The videos are also really helpful and comprehensive. Overall, after hours of researching prep options and many more hours studying, I would say Magoosh is the best option available.

I absolutely love Magoosh. I would recommend it to literally everyone. The videos covered every topic I needed to know so perfectly. They had more than enough practice problems for me to do and helpful videos explaining why each problem was correct. The practice questions were very similar to what was on the exam and the scores I received from their practice tests were relatively accurate. My first test I got a 158 quantitative in a 149 verbal. After using Magoosh, on the actual test I scored a 163 quantitative and a 161 verbal. Magoosh helped me do so much better. I used the three month plan once and then went back over a one month advance plan. All the plans are great.
