The garment is poorly made, sizing is deceptive.
I won't even bother trying to send it back given the other comments.
Disappointed. Glad I only ordered one item. It could have been worse.

It looks like a nearly identical scam is being repeated under a different store named “Evelyn Boutique.” Do not fall for it.

Company states that they are closing because of wildfires and everything must go. SCAM. Poor quality, terrible fit, merchandise is nothing like the photos.

WARNING!! Terrible quality! To return something, YOU have to pay & it goes to CHINA. The cost will be exorbitant, easily more than twice than you paid for your items! This means there is no return policy. They want to take advantage of you and take your money. The ‘store closing soon’ is a scam.

These dresses are terrible and I agree to what has already been said. The quality of material and construction is so poor. Having to ship back to China is a farce! You are lead to believe you are ordering from a boutique in California.

For those of you who are considering a lawsuit against these scammers, please file a complaint with the California Attorney General's office. This is what they are there for - protecting consumers against fraud.
If enough of you file this form, it will definitely get their attention.

Dress arrived but very poor quality. The dress was too big and I asked how to exchange for a smaller size. They wanted me to pay for another dress and just keep the dress that is too big

Total scam—sorry I did not research first. Says 90 day return but on further investigation (after receiving cheap, ill-fitting clothes)— return is to CHINA, not CA. DO NOT ORDER—cheap, horrible fabrics—total misrepresentation on web site.

Totally a scam. The product comes from China and definitely not from Malibu. They created a fake story about the sisters.

Yep. I fell for the scam. So mad at myself! I bought a dress for my daughter and one for myself. I wanted to help the 'sisters who lost everything in the fire' who are fake. The sizes and quality are crap. Boxy, unflattering fit:, cheap material; and looks nothing like the ads. Shame on me for not doing my research before purchasing from an IG ad. Rip off!

Same as everyone else - shameful SCAM! I usually check too but did not. Photos of adorable, well-made classic, classy beach/resort type dresses, etc. - what you get (if ever) is anything but! I bought the “Lily dress” because I have the same thing in black-and-white (beautifully made interwoven cotton dress). This “Costume” (and that’s giving it more credit than it deserves!) comes from China to a warehouse in Vernon, CA. I think the scammers are somewhere in the UK tho and “whilst” (across the front of their fake storefront photo) should’ve been my first red flag! The “dress” ha ha is a cheap “stamped print!” No tags - no size, no fabric, no washing info.
There IS a legit shop called Boutique Malibu and it IS in San Jose, CA but it’s not the same. San Jose appears to sell solid colored tight, workout/legging type clothing.
Triple shame on this “Malibu_ Boutique” SCAM for claiming to be “Sisters that lost shop that’s been in business for over 20 years (har dee har har) in the fire’s.” 🤬
Why can’t somebody sell the real thing, as pictured?!! Sheesh!

Shipping is slow and from China. Fraudulently advertise closing Malibu, California clothing store and discounting stock. Fabrics are terrible. Zig-zag hems!!! Do not buy from them. It is a new way to market cheap Chinese clothing as classy beach wear.

I’m waiting for my order to arrive. I realize now what a scam their marketing story. Sad I paid for cheap materials. I’d support a lawsuit. What do we need to do?

Corruption at the Highest Level!! Bag opened and duck taped shut at one end. I emailed the company and was told I was past my return time. NO returns after 14 days, but it took 3 weeks to receive my order. AND if I was within my return window, I would have to send my returns to their China Warehouse and I would have to cover the postage. I Googled "Malibu Boutique" and they are working out of a house in San Jose, California, there is no store front or shop in Malibu. I was only trying to help out these sisters that had to close due to the wildfires. It is sad when you are purchasing out of the goodness of your heart, and get ripped off and fooled. Shame on these people! I am very interested in joining your Law Suite Group if this idea moves forward.

Well, I was fooled! Wish I would have read the Trustpilot reviews before I got scammed. Not as advertised, terrible quality. Shipped from China. I’m pissed.

Absolutely agree with all! I would join that lawsuit! CHEAP dress is under statement.. and i usually check websites & this one i did not! My stupidity.

Absolute corrupt, lying, sneaking, lowlife company that has customer service employees making up excuses for not reimbursing, and/or not replacing the wrong item, offering partial reimbursements then not honoring that promise, back and forth issues continue to grow in the hopes that I'll give up and go away. This has gone on for over a month with no honest resolution in sight. They keep saying "tough luck". Well I'm not going away. Not going to happen. Will start a lawsuit if I have to.

TO ALL OF US ON TRUST PILOT, WHAT ABOUT A CIVIL ACTION LAWSUIT TO GET REIMBURSED FOR FULL ORDERS?? Just asking...

This ad information is not true. This is NOT a local company affected by recent wildfires. The purchases are actually from China and take weeks to arrive. Quality of items are VERY low. Buyer beware.

Agree, if “zero” was possible they would deserve it. Ordered Small and size 18 arrived. Return? Yes for $61.20 for $55 dress. THEIR mistake! When I emailed I would write negative review they responded they would send a small note immediately. Days later the request for more photos and proof from me is being demanded. Horrible company in China.
