I ordered Maltese food for my Mum’s…

I ordered Maltese food for my Mum’s 70th birthday and I got to speak to Joe who sent the food via Hermes packaging the day before the party, as planned. Everyone loved the Kinnie, and the Cisk and we baked Pastizzi which were delicious. So happy that I decided to order food (my mum is Maltese so this was extra special). I was worried with some negative comments but I also know the Maltese culture well. I spoke with Joe on the phone via WhatsApp and what Joe didn’t have he replaced with things he did have. We will definitely use this company again.

Avoid I can’t believe after seeing their Facebook complaints they’re still trading

Please avoid. They take your money and don’t deliver. They then ignore your emails. It’s been well over two months and we still have nothing despite every time them saying they’ll deliver it next week. It’s really dodgy and all you have to do is look on their Facebook page to see that there are 100s of people who haven’t got their orders from months ago.
I can honestly say I trust someone selling magic beans more than this company.

Unsure if legitimate. Avoid.

On June 8th I placed an order on
A Taste Of Malta, a previous name for MalteseFood2uk.com (which should have been a red flag). I was sent an email saying that I needed to make a payment via bank transfer (another red flag) before the order would be fulfilled. I made the payment as instructed. The website had been recommended as a way to get Maltese food over here.
After making payment, I received no further communication.
A week later, having not recieved anything, I became concerned that the items had been misdelivered. I used the contact form on the website to ask for an update.
I waited several days but received no reply.
On the 24th I wrote again via their sales email address. Still no reply.
I then find out that the person who recommended the service had been messed around and had to go to their bank to get it resolved.
I then try to contact them via the phone numbers listed online. One was out of order, the other no reply (that phone number is the same listed on this page).
Text sent asking someone to get in touch.
No reply.
I find FB page with the company listed under a different name, but same contact details, so I send two Facebook messages which have been read.
No reply.
Posted publicly on their Facebook page finally got a reply:
"...there are people who ordered in May, please keep the queue like what you do in the supermarkets and we will get there"

Unhelpful and rude. No apology.
Should have looked them up before ordering, so many bad reviews.
I have been advised that I will have to make a claim against the company through my Bank's Fraud Team services to recoup the monies.
I don't know if this is a a poorly run legitimate business or a scam, most people reviewing are because they have paid but not received anything and then been ignored.
I am reluctant to make a fraud claim if it is simply a case of poor customer service, but this seems to be worse than that.
