Avoid at all costs!

Had a biopsy taken from my nose which was to be sent for investigation, as the nurse couldn't be sure whether or not it was cancerous.

Heard nothing for weeks, didn't hear from the clinic until I chased them no updates. Biopsy was lost, no results and no chance of having it retested. Photographs taken at the clinic also lost. Still have no idea whether it is cancer or not. Clinic refused to give me details of lab so I could follow up personally. I sent email after email no response, eventually spoke to the manager khrystye who offered a refund - it never arrived.

Complaints ignored, requests for information and lab details ignored and denied. Offer of refund never arrived had to go through my credit card company. Save yourself a lot of hassle go somewhere reputable- despite appearances this clinic isn't. If anyone thinks of refuting this I'm happy to post the emails. Disgusting service all round. The reason there are no negative reviews on here is because they call and threaten legal action if you do.

Professional clinic with great results.

From entering the door, staff are welcoming and friendly.
Today will have been my third PRP treatment.
Before the first treatment, I was given an informative consultation, allowing me to fully understand possible outcomes of the PRP and to make sure I understood and to help manage my expectations.
The second visit was with a different practitioner, but who was equally as professional and repeatedly checked in to make sure I was comfortable.
Today the third session, after consultation and checking out my progress,I
was upgraded to PRP with micro-blading. This was a really wonderful surprise. Again, like the other times a I had attended, I felt like I was treated like a queen. I felt safe and comfortable and pain levels were constantly checked.
I have seen a steady improvement in the texture of my skin following the first treatment, which was done expertly.
I would have given this clinic more stars if possible. I would also 100% recommend PRP to all. But especially to people that dont want fillers or botox.

WARNING Be CAREFUL This clinic is a…

WARNING Be CAREFUL This clinic is a serious red flag.

As someone who’s worked in health care for a long time My experience at Manchester Dermatology Clinic was extremely concerning.
It was disorganised, unprofessional and lacking the basic standards that meet UK healthcare guidelines

My appointment was booked on the understanding that treatment could be completed the same day. When I arrived, I was asked to leave and return 40 minutes later due to delays. After returning, the consultation felt rushed and unprepared, and I was then told I would need to pay immediately and come back on another day, which completely contradicted what I had been told when booking.

I was not asked to complete any pre-consultation medical form or provide a proper medical history. The doctor said very little and left the room, and I then overheard the clinic manager instructing reception to explain the procedure and payment to me instead. There was no clear clinical explanation or informed discussion directly from the doctor, which felt inappropriate and unsafe.

The most concerning part of the visit, however, was the conduct of the clinic manager, Christie.

Before addressing my concerns, she raised her voice at me in the waiting room demanding payment, despite the fact I simply wanted to speak to someone senior. Being spoken to like that in front of other patients was humiliating and highly unprofessional.

She also spoke negatively about another clinician (Dr Patrick) in front of both patients and staff, which felt completely inappropriate. I was then falsely accused of being rude to the team — something both receptionists contradicted. They were kind, apologetic and clearly uncomfortable with how the situation was being handled.

I’ve worked in healthcare for many years myself, and honestly I felt sorry for the staff having to work under a manager who communicates by shouting. It created a tense, hostile environment rather than the calm, safe and respectful atmosphere a clinic should provide. There is a duty of care to both patients and staff, and that standard simply wasn’t met.

What raised further concern was that the consultation rooms display laminated notices stating the clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). However, when I checked the public CQC register afterwards, I could not find the clinic listed. If correct, this is extremely worrying, as providers carrying out regulated medical treatments are normally required to be CQC registered.

The worse part is I paid £95 to waste 2 hours of my time with this clinic.

Overall, the experience felt chaotic, unprofessional and lacking basic healthcare governance and respect. I would not return or recommend

Hidden fees and extreme pressure to spend over £800.

Hidden fees and no genuine ‘free consultation’. While the reception staff were friendly, I felt extremely pressured to undergo a procedure on the same day as my consultation. I arrived under the impression that the consultation was free, as advertised online, only to be told that I would need a £840 procedure and that the £95 consultation fee would only be waived if I paid for the procedure immediately. The whole experience was stressful and caused a great deal of anxiety. It felt like a money-driven approach rather than genuine patient care. I’d recommend going through the NHS, where you can access the same treatment without hidden costs or pressure. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Hi Leah,

We have carefully checked our records and have no record of a patient by your name attending our clinic. We take all feedback seriously, but we are concerned this review may not reflect a genuine patient experience.

For clarity, Manchester Dermatology Clinic is a private medical clinic, and as such, consultation and treatment fees apply — these are always explained clearly before any procedure is carried out. We do offer the option of same-day treatment for patients who wish to proceed, as this can save additional travel time and appointments, but there is absolutely no obligation or pressure to go ahead.

While we agree that NHS services are invaluable, they often cannot treat certain non-urgent or cosmetic conditions such as skin tags, moles, or warts. Many of our patients come to us specifically because they are unable to access these treatments on the NHS and appreciate the speed and efficiency of private care.

We take great pride in our genuine 5-star reviews from verified patients who value our professionalism and patient-centred care. Leaving misleading or false reviews can discourage others from seeking timely medical advice, including mole checks that can be potentially life-saving.

We wish you all the best,
Manchester Dermatology Clinic Team

Unprofessional waste of money

My husband went here for a mole consultation only to find that reception had no recollection of his appointment, despite showing them his email confirmation.

He came back 1.5 hours later only to be told it would be £240 to have more than one mole looked at - was literally in there for 10 minutes, seems like a waste of time and money compared to other clinics that offer similar services

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your husband’s experience did not meet expectations. Upon review, we can confirm that during his visit, seven moles were assessed by our dermatologist using a dermatoscope. Our team discussed both the complimentary single mole check and the comprehensive mole examination option, which includes a detailed assessment of multiple areas and a lymph node examination. Your husband chose to proceed with the full-body mole check, priced at £240, after the consultation and explanation of our services.

We appreciate him choosing our clinic and remain happy to address any further questions or clarify our pricing and procedures at any time.

Brilliant experience

After trying and failing to get help with a lump on my lip via the NHS for years I scheduled an appointment with Manchester Dermatology Clinic. I saw a plastic surgeon and had the procedure the same day. I was sorted within 40 minutes after walking in. The aftercare provided was brilliant including a follow up appointment. I’ve had no issues and the staff were so friendly and supportive. I’d recommend them to anybody.

Cyst removal

Had a cyst removal operation, and the process was pleasant from start to finish. The doctor successfully removed the cyst and the stitches were brilliantly placed, allowing the healing process to be quick and smooth. The friendly staff also alleviated the pressure and worries.

Poor service

I'm concerned about the significant pain I experienced during the scalp injections, as the numbing cream didn't seem to be effective. What's puzzling is that during my final treatment, I was offered a different type of injection that was much less painful. It's surprising that this option wasn't available for the first two sessions. I also noticed inconsistencies in the photo documentation - photos were only taken after my request following the first two treatments, but not after the last one. To top it off, I didn't receive a consultation after my final visit to discuss the treatment outcomes or next steps.

Dear Mr Reubens,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with us did not meet your expectations and that you left feeling disappointed. We always aim to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their treatment journey, and it’s clear we fell short on this occasion.

Loved my experience

Manchester Dermatology Clinic is a great place for anyone looking for quality skin care. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly know their field. They explain things well and make you feel comfortable throughout your visit.

They offer a wide range of treatments, including skin consultations, minor procedures, PRP and chemical peels. The clinic is clean, well-organised, and appointments run on time with very short waiting periods.

Their prices are fair, and the standard of care is consistently high. I’d definitely recommend them.
