Fraudulent Behavior and Zero Customer Service – Avoid Manhattan Dresses
On July 3, 2024, I made a purchase from the online store Manhattan Dresses (Order #2224), paying $649 for a Terani 2111P4102 dress in blush, size 8. Payment was processed through my Visa card, and I received an order confirmation with the expectation that the item would be delivered within a reasonable timeframe.
On July 8, 2024, Manhattan Dresses contacted me, stating that the dress was only available as a pre-order and would take a few weeks to arrive. I agreed to wait based on their assurance. However, despite waiting patiently, the dress was never delivered.
By July 31, 2024, after multiple emails with no real answers, I formally requested a refund. Since then, they have completely stopped communicating. They ignored my emails, blocked me on WhatsApp, and stopped answering my phone calls. I gave them every opportunity to resolve the situation politely and directly, but they chose to disappear instead.
It is now the end of April 2025—almost ten months later—and I still have not received the product or my money back. Their behavior is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and suspicious. They have shown absolutely no interest in honoring their commitment or supporting their customers.
Because of their refusal to respond and their failure to refund my money, I have been forced to initiate a chargeback through my Visa card. I have also documented all communications, including:
• Order confirmation (July 3, 2024)
• Their pre-order notice (July 8, 2024)
• My refund request (July 31, 2024)
• Proof of payment
Manhattan Dresses is not a trustworthy business. Based on my experience, I strongly warn anyone considering a purchase from them: stay away. Losing $649 and being treated with complete disrespect is not something any customer should have to experience.
