this is a great, compact and very sturdy mixer. Its not quite as powerful as the zedi-10, but would be perfect for a lot of situations

The ZEDI-8 is a crisp little mixer with good digital IO, high grade analogue inputs, nice hot outs and a healthy headroom, at a hard to beat price. The trade-off- to be aware of: 1. there is no pre-fader-listen, so debugging a missing or overloud signal in a live context is hard. Also, 2. while the core mixer itself is light, that black plastic buffer around the edge of this little guy make the overall footprint a bit larger than you would expect for the channel count; It makes the mixer surprisingly large for no benefit I can see? Weird design choice, IMO, a thin rubber rim would have been better. Anyway, its capable, does the job, sounds impeccable, and for the incredible price I would tolerate a more imperfections than that. Recommended.
