Why wouldn't you buy new? Manny's price wasn't more that $15 more than the cheapest second hand one I could find. That and it's solid reputation made it an easy decision to buy. It sounds great, but I found it lacks a little high end sparkle, which you'd be paying hundreds more for. Very satisfied with my purchase.

For the price this microphone is very clear, easy-to-use and setup as well as quality in the sound it picks up. 100% happy with this product especially for an entry level podcast setup. Would recommend the AT2020 to anyone with a budget, and if you have spare change - the AT2035 is definitely worth a comparison. Remember this product does not come with a XLR cable.
