Boss called this pedal the Blues Driver for a reason and they are not wrong. I wish I had bought the Boss BD-2 pedal 35 years ago instead of wasting thousands on boutique pedals. I now use this as my basic clean / edge of break up tone. This pedal adds a nice sparkle and sustain on everything you play. Fantastic sound for the money. I now understand why they are used by the top players, very versatile, goes from clean to mean. Boss BD-2 is awesome !
Excellent. Sounds great with any guitar I tried: Les Paul, ES345, Strat, Tele and a few others. Great at low to high drive, easily overdrives the Deluxe 68 or Champ 5F1. Works for blues, jazz, pop, anything. I should have got the BD-2 years ago, better late than never.

Nice tone. Pumps up the grunt and gives you a bit of dirt without too much fuzz.

Excellent pedal for medium drive. Tone control can take away tiny shrillness if necessary. Stacks well with distortion or fuzz.

I have used a lot of overdrive pedals, but this is now my favourite, great for high gain amps, as it colours my drive sound, rather than just adding more gain, but it has the gain if you need more on a clean amp. Love it.
