The Helix Stadium is not cheap! I think they would dominate in a minute if they were $500 or $600 cheaper........so it's not a casual purchase! What I think it is is a great actual product with an excellent user experience. There is all the tweakability you should need presented in a way that can get you to a result before you forgot what you were trying to do! Is it the best sound/quality - who knows! - it's so bloody close at the top end! It's that you can produce great tone in an environment that feels creative and is looking somewhat future proof that swung me to buy it - and I'm very fussy! I think users who aren't tech adverse and need a tool for live and studio will find it a winner. FM9? I'll never know - I'd have had to invest months of using the thing to really know - I'm a few weeks into the Stadium and I'm doing shows with it!
