The Mackie CR 4.5" monitors are really versatile: quietly watching vids in bed, monitoring synthesizers and drum machines in the studio, filling the entire house with loud music. The monitors have a variety of input options (3.5 inch stereo headphone jack, RCA, a pair of 1/4 inch TS jacks), and modes (desktop, bookshelf, tone control). Nice clarity of sound. Really happy with these units
