It's very stiff and requires a weighty microphone. My dynamic mic is not heavy enough to hold the arm in place and I need to add a weight. My condenser mic barely keeps the arm in place but sometimes it slowly creeps up out of range. Once, I pushed the arm back and it flew off the desk so it requires frequent checking to ensure the clamp is still snug if you've not centre-mounted the arm.

Fantastic mic arm. Desk clamp is firm and doesn’t move about. Fantastic smooth movement and easy to reposition. Tucks away nicely too.

The mic arm itself is about $170 but I got mine on discount for about $130, I think the price point could be a bit better than the original $170, maybe $150 but it still is a really good mic arm.
