Beautiful unit for an Audiophile! The old SL1200 seems sturdier though. The stop / start switch is not as smooth and responsive as the older 1200s, probably the new design is more for Audiophiles! Love it nevertheless!

We recently upgraded our home turntable, having previously owned an older Technics model that served us exceptionally well. Staying loyal to the Technics brand, we opted for the SL-1210MK7 in black and we couldn’t be more pleased with our choice. The setup was straightforward, and the performance is outstanding. The sound quality is rich and precise, making for an exceptional listening experience. Aesthetically, the sleek black finish gives it a modern and refined look that complements any space. Overall, the SL-1210MK7 delivers on every front, ease of use, superb audio performance, stylish design, and excellent value for money. An outstanding upgrade in every sense.

It is well built & solid, just like the technics products of the past. Did not realise that there is no cartridge & stylus supplied with it.
The tonearm on the Technics is really below what I had expected. It is poor quality and has a cheap feel that a 'name brand' should not be associated with

Top notch..you get what you pay for, as good as if not better than the originals 👌 Removable leads a big plus and pitch control is tight.
