AVOID AT ALL COST. Yep. Same as many of the reviews. Selected hardback, paid, got receipt and link (with no indication it was going to download the softcopy) did that. They then refused to provide a... See more

Absolutely appalling.
Absolutely appalling.
I ordered a hardback book and they sent an ebook.
They are advising I ordered an ebook even though I absolutely did not.
I will raise with credit card if they do not refund which I have requested.
Do not touch this company under any…
Do not touch this company under any circumstances total scammers wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. As with previous complaints ordered hardback in good faith was sent digital copy. They are now claiming that is what I ordered. There is no way because you can’t advertise a book as new hardback reduced from £18 to £9. No way at that original price is that is a digital copy. Clearly states sale price. AVOID AVOID AVOID
. Keep pushing for your refund which is what I am doing. Reading some of the previous reviews apparently eventually you will get a refund but in case and I have reported to my bank for a chargeback. As an extra apparently they’re not even in the UK.
IMPORTANT KEEP READING. It’s now the 9th of June and I am amending my review to add important information I’m adding an extra note here be careful after all of my backwards and forwards emails with them they finally agreed to a refund which showed up as pending in my account and then the very next day the clever so-and-so’s deleted that revoking the refund probably hoping that I would not check my bank account!!
Which I have done and have now got further measures in place number 1 to obtain my refund number 2 to get these scammers officially reported
Shocking bought hardcover to be told…
Shocking bought hardcover to be told it's digital. People need to get in touch eoth your bank and ask for charge back. This company is a scam. How on earth do we report and stop this website scamming more people!
This company do not provide the product…
This company do not provide the product you order. They do not have any customer service telephone number - do not deal with them. They take your money
Don’t bother
This company just take your money and don’t send any books out, that’s why they are cheap
They are a rip off
They are a rip off, advertise books, take your money then send a book, not the one they advertise and let you believe you bought the hardback version save your money, time and effort and give them a big miss.
Rip off merchants never use them
Certainly wish I had read the bad reviews…
Certainly wish I had read the reviews before. Everything pointed to me ordering a hardback book. Why would they offer free shipping and confirm the shipping address if there was nothing to ship? Charlestons.
One star too many
One star too many. BEWARE this is a scam company who rely on scamming your money and then arguing about refunding. I bought a book that was listed as a hardback which never arrived. I then requested a refund and was told it was an ebook which cannot be refunded. I showed them a picture of the book on their website which very clearly stated ‘Hardback’ on format section. The book is still listed exactly the same! They did agree to refund after I threatened asking my bank to reverse the charges under ‘unauthorised’ transaction. I will also be writing to trading standards. Such a bad business practice as seems they do this all the time.
Ordered a book which never…arrived and no refund
Ordered a book which never materialised. Neither did an email confirming an e version that I supposedly mis ordered. Enquiries to email only and automated phone number. Told by this one man outfit that refind will not be made.
Avoid this outfit at all costs. Wish I’d seen these reviews before ordering.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs - the company is not based in the UK and will take your money and payment details and then not send you the goods. I ordered a hardback book (which the company does not have) and was sent a link to an ebook. Total scam. Like others, I usually look at the company reviews first - lesson learnt. Push for a refund or chargeback.
As above so below
As above so below, this is a scam!
Be persistent in your attempts to get a refund if you make the mistake of ordering from them.
They do issue refunds.
It's crazy how a company can act in this way! Disgusting
If you make the mistake or ordering, they can eventally give refunds.
I too got caught out, ordering a clearly marked hardback book and receiving nothing. When I chased them, first of all I was promised a refund (when I'd given them a non- existant order number), then the same day I recieved what I know now is there standard story about my having purchased an eBook! I pointed out all the flaws in their argument and addressed the owner by name (Mr Potocki, I got that from Company's House website).
I also reported them to my credit card company and to their local Trading Standards Office.
The next day I got a promise of a refund, WHICH ACTUALLY APPEARED ON MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT.
The message is, persist as they have have given refunds!
DO NOT PART WITH MONEY TO MAPLESHELF
DO NOT PART WITH MONEY TO MAPLESHELF, IT IS A SCAM AND YOU WILL RECEIVE NOTHING.
PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, DONT BUY ANYTHING.
Ordered Mary Berry Book weeks ago
Ordered Mary Berry Book weeks ago, nothing arrived and no engagement in spite of emailing. Looking at the reviews can see why, fake company, scammers running it. Will be reporting this as fraud to the relevant authorities. Do NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
Ordered what I thought was a hardback…
Ordered what I thought was a hardback book by the description this morning. Confirmation arrives as ebook.
No good to me and totally misleading description!!!!
Emailed them back asking for the hardback book as advertised or either not process the order or refund……..annoying!
Not expecting too much having read other feedback on Trustpilot!
Fraudster
As your other reviews confirm this is a fraudster, the name on your billiling account will not reflect Mapleshelf at all, but be someone elses. They send you an ebook, or what they try and palm off as an ebook of the book. When ordering a normal paperback, you only get an ebook and not the actual book at that, AVOID at all costs. Get your bank to claim back the money.
Scam scam scam
They default the setting to show you have ordered a digital version of books even if you 100% order a physical book. I screen recorded the second attempt and provided it to my bank and trading standards as fraud to show that I ordered a physical book yet they changed the order to digital. Do not click the links they email. Transactions go via Poland to China. Scam.
Yet another bad review i'm afraid
Yet another bad review i'm afraid. I now wish I'd check the company out more fully instead of trusting their website. I was sent a digital book but ordered a hard copy. An email to query the incorrect order replied saying it was what I ordered. It wasn't. A follow up email wasn't even responded to and they don't have a phone line for customers. You ring their number, select option 2 to receive a recorded message saying customer support by email only and ringing the number incurred an extra cost as it's a peak cost number aggghh
