Extremely Negative MapleStory Review

Extremely Negative MapleStory Review — Brutal, Angry, and Unfiltered

Let me get straight to the point: MapleStory is, in my personal experience, the worst-managed, most unfair, money-squeezing game I’ve ever played.
Everything in this game revolves around RNG, lottery systems, and disguised gambling designed to drain your wallet while giving you nothing but frustration in return.

The entire game feels like a cash trap built on “chance” mechanics that are deliberately punishing. Nothing is ever sold at a fair price — it always has to involve low odds, ridiculous luck, and endless attempts that push you to spend again and again.

And the imbalance between players is honestly disgusting.
Items like the Frenzy Totem destroy any form of fairness left in this game.
If you have one, you dominate.
If you don’t, you’re basically irrelevant — no matter how hard you grind or how much money you spend.

But the part that completely broke me?
Two players on Ren literally surpassed my main character in UNDER TWO WEEKS.
Two weeks.
I had been grinding my main for months like an idiot, and these guys blew past me as if I had been AFK since 2018.

Unless you’re playing 24 hours a day, or unless a whole team of 4–5 people is running the same account, or unless someone is running something in the background…
explain to me how that’s supposed to be normal?

But of course, here’s the funny part:
Those players never get banned. Never questioned. Never touched.
Meanwhile, I get slapped with a 14-day ban for “supposed botting.”
No proof. No logs. No explanation. Nothing. Just:

“We think you cheated.”

Even if I had cheated (which you can’t even prove), a single player botting could NEVER damage the economy as badly as the endless Frenzy totem service sellers running 24/7.
But somehow, those guys are untouchable.

And when I ask for details? Silence.
When I ask for a refund for the 14 days of premium content I paid REAL MONEY for?
Still silence.
They basically told me:

“You already spent your NX, so you got your value.”

Oh really?
So when I had a Chain of Resentment, lost billions, lost two weeks of grinding because of a baseless ban — that’s supposed to be “my value”?

I spent $400 a month and several thousands in total, and all I get is a shrug and a “too bad.”

In my honest opinion:
This feels like theft. Total disrespect. Absolutely pathetic management.

I’m writing this review to warn people before they fall into the same trap I did.
If you haven’t started MapleStory yet, do yourself a favor:
DON’T.
Stay far away.
This game is an unhealthy mix of predatory gambling mechanics, extreme player inequality, and support decisions so ridiculous they ruin honest players while others shoot to level 300 like rockets with zero consequences.

MapleStory, from my experience, is simple:
a frustrating, unfair, exhausting game run like a circus.
If you want to save your money, your time, and your sanity,
go play something else.

Worst company out there

Worst company out there. Only in it for the money, not for the players. Blatently ignoring their users wishes and just pushing p2w content. Can this company die out already? Or get bought out by someone who does care?
