I rented a car for two days for €70 and paid by cc. I needed to change the rental period to just for one day rental. This was no problem. When picking up the car I asked for a refund because I only wanted to rent the car for 24 hrs. Marbella rent a car deducted €25 of the price and then told us that there was no insurance booked for this car and if we wanted this we had to pay €25 for carrosserie insurance and €14 for glass insurance! So in the end we paid for a rental car for only 24 hours €84! I felt scammed!

Excellent experience, got upgraded for free to a better car, no hard selling of excess waiver insurance (I purchased elsewhere), no crawling over the car on return to find scratches, very efficient minibus service between office and airport, friendly and helpful staff.

Booked through zest rental cars for Gibralter car hire, Marbella rent a car was the supplier, pick up is at the Santa Barbara car park approx 250m from the airport, when you get to the car park Marbella rental have no office, no signs, no info that they
operate from there, we waited in the rain for
20 mins in the hope that someone would
turn up to supply our car, we waited in vain
so phoned
Marbella rental and was told someone would be there in 10 mins, another 20 mins
later a gentleman arrived , no hello no sorry for keeping you waiting in-fact no communication at all apart from the words passport, license, credit card, all paperwork done from the boot of his car, and he made it quite obvious we had dragged him from his lunch and that he would rather be somewhere else.
He gave no info on where to park the car on return or where to put the keys, nearest petrol station to fill up, if I hadn’t have
asked we wouldn’t have been told, he didn’t want to walk around the car to agree on
what were existing dents and bumps, I was
told take your own pics, to say this person was as grumpy as hell is an
understatement, customer service was definitely not on his radar, anyway off we go after an hour of hell,in the car no aircon was needed as it was raining and chilly but the next day the sun came out and it turned warm, aircon was useless it needed re-gassing, screen wash was empty, fortunately we were staying in a villa so a splash of fairy and water did the trick not the sort of thing you expect when hiring a car, so to sum up stay away from Marbella rent a car if you can we had a throughly unpleasant experience.if I could have left no stars I would have but it won’t let you.

We dealt with Manuel Santos at the Gibraltar Airport/La Linea location. Very honest and helpful. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. Would recommend Marbella Rent a Car to anyone.
