A mech hanger might look like a small part, but it's designed to be the sacrificial piece that protects your frame if the derailleur takes a hit — replacing a $15-30 hanger is a lot cheaper than replacing a frame. We also make sure it's an exact fit for your specific frame, which is part of what you're paying for versus a generic universal one. Quick and easy to get a replacement hanger. Very fast service! Sizing of the plug for the smaller inner mount was slightly too large for the frame hole, but this could be adjusted with minor sanding.
