This was an exact match to my deteriorated part on my 1988 mercruiser. This took the 3" exhaust hoses coming from a reducer on the risers to the 4" hose that sends the exhaust out the back. The part is heavy cast iron and appeared to be a good quality casting and was painted/coated. The first one lasted 38 years before rusting through the bottom of the hose connections and starting to leak, so I hope this one will last just as long. I've included a picture of the old part that I removed and this new part that was installed in its place.
