Raritan considers this a consumable part. Many companies figure since it is consumable it is ok to cheap out on the quality. Raritan did not do that.

The check valve for the injection line is only briefly mentioned in the instructions and is supposed to be checked/replaced after every 300 flushes (each container of tablets). The valve is located close to the treatment tank and keeps wastewater out of the injection line. When worn (or blocked), it can allow excess water to accumulate in the tablet dispenser that will dissolve the tablets too quickly, causing blockage in the dispenser line or at the treatment tank. The check valve is well designed and can be easily disconnected to check for proper operation.
The part was perfect, had it in 3 days, the price was high, but couldn’t find it less expensive anywhere.

I ordered two and one of them was missing a washer which made installation frustrating because I didn’t take it apart to inspect that it came with all the pieces. It’s Raritans fault though.

It fails far too frequently. The spring is the weakest point and it cannot be easily sourced form a third party vendor. The price for a new check valve, which is essentially for a new spring, is way too high for what you get.
